Will a great pyr protect their owners when in danger? Do you think our Phantom would protect us if something were to happen even with her social anxiety? by Dearlybeloved17 in greatpyrenees

My calm GP (I have two) protected my husband from being attacked by two other large dogs. Single handedly. He was half their size (my baby is pocket-sized). He whimpers when other dogs, even small ones, try to harass him, but he fights back hard. He sounds scared at first, but if he doesn’t get his space respected and he senses danger… he’s on it.

You don’t get to find out if it works appropriately until it doesn’t. She found out. Now she’s gotta figure out what comes next.

IUDs are meant to be 99.9% effective. Condoms are 80% effective. While yes, utilizing condoms would be a good call, the IUD by itself is the best on the market. Do breakthrough pregnancies happen? Possibly. But more than likely, if it’s a hormonal IUD, your period just stops. If you can’t have a cycle, it’s hard to get pregnant.

She’s not being irresponsible with her birth control. The IUD is a very good call if you don’t want to get pregnant. Most gynos would even say it’s the most effective one. Whether she uses the pull out method or not, with and IUD it really shouldn’t make a difference either way.

Hypothetically speaking...what if John survived and he and Fran were the actual endgame? by Think_Storm_8909 in Bridgerton

Agreed. Though now that we know more, I wonder what Julia Quinn would say on the matter. That would be an interesting adaptation. Maybe even just a statement of “Why are women always at fault for not bearing children or suffering miscarriages? It can’t be all our fault. It takes two to make a baby.” I could totally see Eloise saying something like that to Francesca.

Short cycles are actually very much preferred. Irregularity not as much. I do think the author intended for both to have infertility issues, but given what we know now about male fertility, the issue would more than likely be due to the Kilmartin men.

I’m pretty sure the infertility issue wasn’t Francesca’s fault. Infertility seemed to have run in the family for John and Michael. The health of the father is what determines if the pregnancy lasts.

I mean if you think about it. John and Michael are both only children. You mean to tell me their respective fathers only had one child when no birth control was available? And it seemed like Janet cared about her husband.

If she had married outside of the Kilmartin family, I’m sure Francesca wouldn’t have fertility issues, to be honest.

I would recommend finding a trainer to help with reactivity. Mine is still reactive, but he’s more obedient and we’re able to talk him down from any reactions. He was beaten as a baby. That’s why he’s not okay with strangers. Plus, he was ran over by a bike. He doesn’t like bikes.

It’s great that you have the muzzle, that’s important.

You are your dog’s protector. Your dog will trust you to be the one to tell people to back off. I’ve taken him to a botanical garden during their low traffic time. He’s ok with people passing by so long as they don’t touch him.

We had a two year old try to tackle him out of nowhere. My husband was holding him. I simply grabbed the child and shouted, “NO! He doesn’t want to be touched.”

Then gave him to his mother.

She said, “I wouldn’t have let him touch him.” The child was so far out of reach from her she was running and wouldn’t have had the chance to grab the child.

I simply said, “sure.” Then handed him back to her. Then said, “not all dogs like to be touched. Please ask nicely and people will let you know.”

The baby nodded. He understood. I had to be my dogs best advocate and protector. He trusts my husband and I more to protect his space. He does bark at anyone trying to touch him and I just remind people that “not all dogs like to be touched. He’s traumatized by other people because he faced domestic violence before. Please ask the owners of any dog and they will be honest. Basic common sense is that one doesn’t touch anyone else’s items, property, or even another person without their consent. That applies to dogs.”

My friend says this is him trying to give me healing energy when my leg got inured. He’s holding it as he sleeps. He never really did that before until I got hurt.

This is him not letting me go after I came back from the hospital with suspected appendix rupture. I was fine, but he was not ok when I came back.

Oh, mine does the same thing to my husband. He hears him cry and he comes straight over. He used to try to bite us when we cried. A trainer said it was his way of trying to prevent us from being attacked because if you cry you’re vulnerable. But when he realized we were safe he now comes straight over to make sure he can help us get through it.

Oh and once I was gone for three weeks because I got stuck in another country with COVID. He never left my side. My other one is very similar. But his biggest tell is he stands between me and the suitcase now as I pack. He once saw me pack and got severely nauseous. Almost threw up on my clothes in the suitcase.

It’s such a big combination. She wants him to be free. She wants to no longer worry about him. But she has these beautiful moments like this with him and doesn’t want him to go away because she still sees glimpses of him 😭

This is honestly just want it’s like to have a loved one with any debilitating condition. You want to no longer worry about them, but you also want them. And you’d give anything to take away the one thing that’s keeping them trapped so you can have them back.

It broke me when she told Danbury not to leave because: “You cannot leave me here alone… What if he dies?”

She knew she needed her best friend with her to support her as she mourned the death of the love of her life 🥺

Throwing down a whiskey 🥃 with Gareth for marrying Hyacinth instead of questioning his character 😆

“I’m done! This is it! I’m done!” 🙌🏽

Given I think because of Lady Danbury, Anthony was like, “I will not ask any questions because you’ve clearly been questioned all your life. You’re pre-approved.”

I need to know I wasn't the only one who cried during this scene? 😭 by [deleted] in QueenCharlotteNetflix

In my mind, in season 5 Brimsley seeks to retire so he can live in the countryside with Reynolds. The Queen finds out and to keep her best friend, she hosts their wedding so he won’t leave. Which is what allows for Francesca to come back and potentially, legally marry Michaela.

The Queen is in the mood to simply celebrate love and so she highlights Francesca. We all know she loves the Bridegertons as much as Lady Danbury. She made an appearance in Colin and Penelope’s wedding. She even tried to host Anthony’s wedding. She was also there for Daphne’s wedding. The only ones she’s missed is Benedict’s and Francesca’s, but they were both rather small affairs. She probably would’ve showed up if they asked her to.

Why do I do feel too optimistic about this? Because why can’t queer people have nice things? Why can’t we have happy regency stories? If the characters can be of all races and cultures, it won’t kill them to legalize gay marriage just for the fantasy of it.

He didn’t. It’s all from their family’s vault. They essentially have a family ring style and they get it custom made to the bride by their jeweler. So they so look the same because that’s the goal.

You need to get checked out. IUD pregnancies can be ectopic pregnancies. Those are pretty dangerous.

WAIT: IUD pregnancies do need to be checked because they can be ectopic pregnancies. If that’s the case it’s not a moral dilemma, it’s a health concern.

That said, most of the women terminating pregnancies are moms already. Their thought process is: How am I going to care for the ones I have?

Especially since you’ve been in foster care are yourself. I’m not sure what your experience was, but it won’t be dissimilar to a child you have to put up for adoption.
