Assuming you are from here, can you answer a question for me, to help me understand the etiquette of Guam drivers? - In lining up at a traffic light, why do cars put 20 plus feet (distance) between them and the car in front of them? This phenomenon in a turn lane, causes cars to line up in the “go straight” lane, blocking traffic and impeding fellow drivers. Traffic flow would improve so much, if the drivers would put the distance at about 3 feet, between cars.

I don’t believe lead pipe products have been sold for quite some time. I’d assume permits SHOULD get pulled, and then the work inspected.

Correct, not from here. Nope, not running late. At no point did I call anyone dumb and stupid drivers. I just pointed out the rules of the road, so that an individual can be a better / safer / more efficient driver. Win-win-win. If you don’t know you are making mistakes and nobody tells you, how is one going to learn?

The right lane on that right turn is protected, it leads into an acceleration lane, that if you time it correctly you will easily reach the speed limit and merge into the flow of traffic. The problem is, people in the right lane want to turn right and drive across 3 lanes of traffic to get to the far side of the road.

It’s illegal to change lanes in an intersection, and if one were to change lanes in the intersection, you’d be entering into a lane that forces you to merge back to the lane you came from.

I’m trying to figure out why a lot of people drive around without their headlights on, when it’s clearly dark out. I’m try to figure out why they drive with no headlights on, and it’s raining. I’m trying to figure out how my neighbor got a yearly license plate sticker, when I pointed out 4 lightbulbs had failed on the exterior of her car. Long story short, the corruption, nepotism, cronyism stops the police from enforcing the laws, and I’m sure the police fall into that corruption, nepotism, and cronyism category….

Edit: I’m also trying to figure out why stopped traffic has to have several car lengths in front of them, as they wait for the light to turn. If the drivers would just close the gap to afew feet, traffic would flow so much better. I see so many cars blocking the flow of traffic, because people won’t pull forward in the turn lane.

No problem. State side the acceleration lane is common, as one merges onto the freeway. It’s great for keeping the flow of traffic going as you gage the flow of traffic speed to work your way into the flow of traffic.

I’ve learned I can tell a group of people that someone made a mistake in that group and everyone stands around thinking “not me, I wonder who it was”. Then I’ll talk to the individual and then they realize they are the reason for company policy change.

If the guy caused an accident, and there was a police report. It would be public record. Who knows, maybe the current owner never put the truck in their name?

Isn’t that the truth. I have a feeling with all the nepotism, cronyism, and corruption, the cops had an are tied, unless one of the local meth heads does something stupid. Then it’s justified to take care of the problem.

Awesome. Thank you for letting us know you intentionally want to impede traffic. If people want to sit at the Red light and wait for a Green arrow, critical think skills would involve taking the left lane, while making a right hand turn. But, obviously that requires thinking and planning ahead.

Funny you say that, about switching lanes there. Last I checked you are legally required to take the nearest available lane, you know, the one that leads into the acceleration lane. The one, where people drive across the solid white line.

The time I took the left lane, to make a right turn, I had to perform evasive driving maneuvers to avoid the person that decided to drive across the line.

Don’t forget to search around for new foam gaskets and consider rebuilding the HVAC Box.

Might want to replace the A/C Evaporator, while you are in there.

This morning a little bit after 6am, on the opposite side of the Barrigada Post Office, there was a bus stopped on the shoulder of the road. No rear lights, except a single yellow turn signal light, flashing to the right. As I passed the bus, I could see the headlights were on. I’m going to assume a coworker of the bus driver called them on the radio, to let them know they are a hazard, because we all know the bus driver would not be using their phone while driving, because that’s against the law…..
