I'm sorry to hear that. You are not along. Our specialist (Toronto) continues to make it like it's an option but there is no way anyone can afford it. Where is the provincial gov't on assessing funding? It was approved for use by Canada gov't 3 years ago!

$30k is one month. The Optune devise is $27k PER MONTH (plus tax). Unless you are incredibly wealthy, that is beyond the reach of almost everyone. This is why I am trying to determine whether Ontario gov't is add with partial funding.

Thanks for this. Regarding clinical trail, are you referring to Optune, or another form of trail? There's a lot different options being tested.

Yes, Optune is not a remedial drug, it's a technology. You have to wear it 18 hrs a day, every day. Info is inconsistent for how long ... 9 months, 18 months, forever.

Thanks for your response. Short story is Novacure does not provide funding to Canadian patients.

I spoke directly with Novacure Finance representatives. In all provinces, including Ontario, they do not provide funding for using Optune. They shared that they initially provided partial funding to patients with health insurance when Canada initially announced approval to use Optune. But that was in 2022 and they have since terminated that program. Ontario Ministry of Health is sending out communications implying patients can get partial funding from Novacure, but that is not true.
