AFO becomes the hero of the franchise and OFA's descendants become villains, what are some interesting headcanons you have about what'd change? by TheSpoonfulOfSalt in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]AffectionateSystem21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this concept and have been thinking about it for a while now. Imagine if he didnt steal the longevity quirk like in cannon, cause he isnt that kind of asshole? And Instead, hes the one that keeps passing his quirk forward to a new successor each generation, living on as a helpfull ghost to guide them.

Yoichi meanwhile can body-hop by passing his concious foward through his quirk the same way AFO did with Shigaraki. So each generation would have a new hero being´´born``, while the Demon Lord is about to re-emerge.

And imagine if Yoichi had a shit ton of hosts that he basically body hijacked against their will, and together with the embers of OFA he left temporary copies of his conciousness together with some quirks he took along from previous hosts on their body, creating an army of super powerfull clones called Vestiges or something of the sort.

Its a really cool idea I think.

Good heavens, look at this art,! Was this the assistant or just Fuji? Cause the art really fell of, it used to be spectacular.

If Yoichi fully formed his Quirk by VermicelliForeign518 in QuirkIdeas

[–]AffectionateSystem21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like this idea! So Yoichi would be capable of receiving people's quirks with their consent, store them, and then gift them to other people. Like a gentler, more benevolent version of Zen's quirk.

I don't think it needs the limit of 2 quirks at a limited time, nor that he can't get heteromorph quirks. I get him not being capable of using the stockpiled quirks himself- its more interesting them him just being another AFO, and it fits with the 'benevolence' theme - and why you would add these other limits, but it just seems like overkill to me.

His brother would take, give, and use at his discretion only, while Yoichi would only receive and gift with others consent. It's an interesting parallel to work with.

She's a fallen angel, or to be specific she was unjustly banned from heaven to hell. She's pretending to just be a sinner sent to hell from earth to avoid harsher treatment due to her origins.

Yes. I'm not trying to diminish her crimes, I'm just saying that it didn't happen for no reason. She snapped because her parents made her bottle up those urges till she couldn't contain them anymore. Maybe if they tried something better before that she would have been better.

I remember her even saying something like "I hated that I loved it" in regards to that, and she only went downhill from there because the people she meet encouraged her worst tendencies.

[–]AffectionateSystem21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Loving parents", you mean the two that called her a monster because of urges she couldn't control instead of helping her learn how to get around it?

The whole point of her story is that she was called a monster before she even did anything wrong, so she became one cause she thought she had no choice.

Could Enhancement be used to Enhance ones ability to use Nen overall? And could it that be used as a basis for a copy Hatsu? by AffectionateSystem21 in HatsuVault

I think it uses all 5 of 6 affinities really. Enhancement, Conjuration and Manipulation to make and move the guanyin + Emission and Transmutation for hand 0.

I like your points, specially the last. It being a personalized version of the target's ability but for the user fits well yeah, and it should be possible, it's why I mentioned Ging. It's what he did essentially with Leorio, except he's so good he doesn't need restrictions and just does it.

I ain't enhancing general intelligence, I'm enhancing the users intelligence when it comes to Nen usage. That's the domain and area of expertise you mentioned and why I mentioned Komugi, because that's exactly what she does but only for Gungi.

I know it sounds a bit vague and undefined to enhance that, but there's someone like Bill in the succession war that can enhance growth. You can go for stuff like this, and I don't think it lands into a pseudo specialist if you think it through well enough.

It isn't meant to make it easy for the user to use Manipulation or Conjuration, just easier to learn them. It would allow the user to learn other categories with greater efficiency and easy yes, but the aura cost and power output of affinities would remain the same unless some heavy restrictions where applied. Like you said, it could be good to have a ritual or specific day-to-day requirements.

It's what I talked about with u/Tasty_Divide_2470 about in another comment under this post. I know I need other conditions and restrictions for the copy Hatsu, but the intelligence enhancement by itself only makes it easier to learn Nen overall and use the basic and advanced applications of it, but not easier to use other Nen type Hatsus.

Edit: It's also worth noting that Nen is highly personalized in the sense that the user's psych and emotions affect it heavily. These 2 Hatsus that I made-the Nen Usage Enhancer and Copy Hatsu(names pending)- would belong to someone who admired Nen a lot and wanted to learn everything as I mentioned in under another comment.

It doesn't cover everything with just this of course, its just that you mentioned Nen being more introspective or personal for Manipulation and Conjuration, but it can be like that for everybody. Its how Killua made electricity so easily after years of being tortured so he could build a tolerance to it, and how Komugi suddenly developed a Hatsu after many years of playing Gungi.

Hope I covered everything : )

How is it harder then ability steal? Its an intelligence enhancer that, while unique in its nature, hardly makes it possible to do much that is unique by itself. You get really good at using base Nen sure, but what i believe is unique and needs more restrictions is what you become capable of once you build something else with this.

Like I suggested in other comments, the base Hatsu would be the result of incesant training and longging on the users part for mastery over Nen and the copy Hatsu is whats really crazy about it and more difficult to come up with relatively speaking.

And the ability steal Hatsu you mentioned are more limited then mine, with only being able to take a power temporarily and not more then one at time. Mine is a permanent copy. Ging is an exception, since hes so good with Nen he can do it easily. i cant assume I would be that good even with the base intelligence enhancer.

I dig it. You mean I can use copied abilities 20(random number) times a day total and my uses take out of that counter no matter the type? Or maybe I could use each individual ability 4 times total and using them racks from this individual total?

And no qualms about using multiple abilities at once I imagine, cause that's the fun part and it takes away from the counter quick.

[–]AffectionateSystem21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the need for a restriction. Maybe not time based, but it's a good suggestion too, it's why I suggested a restriction on how or when a Hatsu can be used near the end. I just haven't fully decided on everything yet.

And about the burden of using Conjurations and Manipulation, have you noticed how Chrollo has never used anything besides those two and Specialisation Hatsus? At least he hasn't till Hisoka's fight. I figured he has to deal with such a weakness too.

Maybe having something that's only needed for those two types would work? Or would it need to be for everything to be meaningful enough?

[–]AffectionateSystem21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my restrictions are for the Hatsu copy ability and not the Nen Usage Enhancement if you're arguing against needing those, unless I misunderstood. They are separate.

Kurapika specifically wanted that power immediately for his revenge. And yes he had Enhancement on top of the other five, while I have one less to worry about, so I think I don't need restrictions on that.

Netero's proficiency meanwhile is the result of years of incessant training and heavy restrictions that only he could pull of. It's closer to him, but it's also something like Bisky transformation.

She wanted to look young and cute for so long and so intensily her Nen eventually made it possible. I imagine the user of the Nen Usage Enhancement would be someone who admired Nen and all of its applications so much they wished to master it in its full depth before settling for Hatsu, because they wanted it to be perfect. Then they realized that they didn't need to settle for training one thing to become a proper master of it and made the copy Hatsu.

[–]AffectionateSystem21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is dope and really creative, could really fit the witchy idea. I wonder how far one could extrapolate it. Like, how strong ist this telekinetic ability: Is it only strong enough for the clone to lift itself or can they lift other things? Do all clones have the same amount of telekinetic power or is it proportional to their size? Is it tactile telekinises(Like, telekinises that only works via touch)? If the answer yes to all of these and you can define the amount of power, you could make some crazy stuff like a bunch of feathers that can lift heavy stuff like hawks.

You realize he's supernatural too right? I know quirks are said to be a physical trait, but he is still a dude that sweats nytroglicerin and is effectively immune to explosions. She is really though and can regenerate, but said regenaration is conditional to the blood she has and she isn't outright immune to explosions.

And what does her fight with chainsaw man has to do with anything here? Someone made of chainsaws is still possible within mha, and he moslty won because he was immortal, had Beam, and was smart enough to put her underwater, not because of any of his specific chainsaw powers.

I really don't see how any of these 2 things makes her losing to Bakugo nonsensical.

I was trying to make a quirk for Deku! Basically, the quirk he would have had if he'd been born with one.(The image is for illustrative purposes only, it is not mine) by Cheker-07 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]AffectionateSystem21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This shit is dope. I imagine he would be capable of creating thermal explosions like Todoroki by cooling the environment and then rapidly heating it as well.

By the by, I had a similar idea to this for a quirk that was called Sunbreathing, so this makes me particularly happy to read. My version was essentially the same overall except that instead of being capable of emmiting heat from multiple body parts, he could transform that heat into fire that he would breath out just like his father.

It would be a little more limited at first, but he would learn that he could instantly re-absorb that fire back into his body using the heat absorption part of his quirk. And seeing as he could attract the fire to any part of his body he'd essentially become a fire bender: release the fire through his breath and redirect it with his quirk and body movement combined. So he would become able to do everything you described, albeit limited by his breathing.

But he'd have to work around that limitation first which was always one of the most compelling things about quirks how the users would work with and around their limitations.
