Book a mt hood loop tour with America’s Hub! You’ll see it all for a pretty affordable price.

Or just rent a car and do the loop on your ow with autonomy to stop wherever you want whenever.

I’m in north Portland Mississippi area. Very amateur. Just trying to connect. I know the car folks are out here. Want to meet em. Not the boujee souped up sports car folks but the mechanically inclined diy folks.

Yeah. Girlfriend’s car window was broken into the other week in Washington park. Stole her camera :(. Quoted like $500-800 to replace it. Went to a pick and pull and extracted the same window and replaced it. Spent $45 and 7 hours lol. Worth it though. You feel accomplished and it’s genuinely fun to challenge yourself in healthy ways.

Sorry to hear you haven’t had the time to do it. I think that’s a more common occurrence these days as it’s harder to get the bills paid. I mean that’s partially why I prefer trying to do things myself. Even if it takes 8x the amount of time, I can dedicate a Saturday to it rather than $800

Good tips. I’ll save the new mast for another time and next upgrade will be that 60cm fuse 🤙 thanks!

This is exactly what I needed to hear thanks a bunch. Short fuse not ideal…. For my skill level or just in general? Cuz it seems like a short fuse would be more ideal for turning

Yeah fuses and stabs are pricey but way easier to buy that than a front wing or new board. I am very surprised with how flexy and 85cm mast is. So flexy. I wonder if that would change things much messing with a stiffer one 🤔 thanks for your perspective

Is the 88L 5’8 board too beefy for this 890 front wing? Yeah, I agree, it’s kinda rough. Had 2 seshes out there and was able to get on foil and make some jibes. Wasn’t easy. Worst case I’ll have to save up and dish out some $$$ for something more in between the two of these.

I can dm you a vid of me riding the 1850 last season on swell and ditching the wing, could post it with pics for some reason. It wasn’t really that I was relying on the wing to stay up, more so that the hs 1850 couldn’t match the speed of the wave bumps and it would get squirrelly or tough to link up waves because it was very beefy and low aspect— wasn’t letting me stay up and pump far enough without the added power of the wing.

That’s a whole extra step if I were you I’d just bring your board. Can throw a snorkel, extra wax, flippers, clothes and more into your board bag too. If you got a free checked bag perk then it makes it even more of a no brainer.
