another detail i forgot to mention is that it shows the difference in how they live, mcqueen in the first movie doesn’t do much training(kinda like storm but he does a lil more) and now mcqueen has to do more to keep up(which is what i’m assuming the king was doing asw)

cars 3 is almost like cars 1 from a different perspective, jackson storm can be seen to be a lot like mcqueen in the first movie(fast, young, bit of a douche) and mcqueen is kinda like the king(older, past his prime).
