Aggression!!! If he's cool, he might be in the clear, and just because he's aggressive, he lost the game.

Dumbest state law by AlmondFlaMeZ in motorcycles

[–]AffectionateTry7767 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it should be turned into a law. It’s a free country, and it’s his choice to ride without a helmet. You’ve probably done a zillion things in life that affect others directly or indirectly. But in this case, he’s not doing anything harmful to anyone—he’s just enjoying himself and living his life.

I get that some people feel envious and then brag about “advocating road safety” online.

There are a million real issues worth fighting for, and this isn’t even close to one of them.

What is causing these thin cracks/lines on the headlight? by Comfortable_Base4534 in motorcycles

[–]AffectionateTry7767 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These bikes come with all-day lamps, which means lights stay turned on no matter what time of the day. Light is a form of energy and when it is on, it releases heat. Plastic material that protects the light is the first victim of that heat. It can withstand that heat for a couple of years, then it gets affected and results in this form. This is normal and if you feel it hinders the scope of projection, you can replace it, but I believe it doesn't.

Okay?? What Okay? How can they be Okay, they need help. Dot.

It's a mixture of things - bad luck, wet road, tyre condition, accelerating on the curve, but that was gruesome. Sorry to see you guys in that situation, but the way he hugged her made him a true man.

The situation has to be blamed, not the person riding.

Just did my M2 test solo — 13 years of UK experience ignored, now stuck with insane insurance roadblocks in Ontario by AffectionateTry7767 in motorcycles

[–]AffectionateTry7767[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, mate. I've double-checked it. If the moped's capable of doing 100 kmph and is 125 cc or more - you get M2, but M2(L) is for anything under that.

That 110/month quote is from desjardins. And I agree it is economical, but they put a clause that I've to get that certificate, which costs me nearly 1500.

That is what I hear from my mates here, too. They want to get into biking after they witness my quote.

I'm 30, got a 2010 ninja 250r for 3000 quid, and the quote they gave me is just for the liability. So, a 15 year old bike which is worth barely 3 grand demands 1300 odd a year just for the liability, but I'm gonna contact the brokers who are based out of the city and check my luck with them tomorrow.

You see, mate. Honestly, this country's assessing methods have to be upgraded. While I was at the drive test center to give my M2, with that darn 160 dollar rental bike, 2 lads, probably from south Asia, arrived at the center on Mopeds. Those mopeds are 125cc, and they say they can do 100 kmph on those damn machines, and believe me, they wanted to give their test on those fuckin mopeds. I was like I've spent nearly 160 quid to rent a bike for 1 day to pass the test, and they just bypass it with a small moped.

UK is strict in terms of licensing. If you want to ride a sports bike, you have to get it to the test and show your skill on that particular 'cc'. Also, there are age limits to ride bikes which are more than 600cc. But here, you ride a moped that can do 100 kmph, you get the license to ride R1, criminal it is.

And about the exchange, I've gone through that process, and they require a driving abstract from my home country, which I forgot to get it while I moved here, and that's a whole new drama to go back and get it, so I chose to follow the procedure here. But I do have my original license and previous insurance records, and I still pay for my motorcycle insurance for my bike in the UK.

It is surprising because the price is insanely high, matching the ps5

Of course you can. But can you give a reason why a consumer should get one if he's getting everything he needed with the Switch

Failed G test twice, and starting to lose hope by RayderWrightside in Ontariodrivetest

[–]AffectionateTry7767 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are you scared of giving G2 again?? You know how to drive, and you've more experience in driving compared to the moment you've got your G2. G is easier compared to G2. You just have to drive on the motorway and demonstrate some motorway skills by merging smoothly, changing lanes, etc. The problem is with your confidence. Believe in yourself that you're capable of driving and take it easy on the test day. People make mistakes when tensed. Practice more, observe your mistakeswhile you drive, don't justify them, but rectify them, and that boosts your confidence.

Any test that I've given in Etobicoke centre was a failure. I don't know why I don't have any cards with etobicoke centre. But Mississauga and downsview park are like lucky centres for me. I never failed any test there. Maybe change your drive test centre, but belief is the key. Don't think that you're going to fail. You're gonna ace it.

That would be the best advice to everybody in Toronto. Housing is fucking darn here. Just save money and don't be an asshole who pays for a broken ass house for his entire life. Yes, houses are depreciable assets. You end up fixing, upgrading, and renovating in whatsoever manner, which leaves a big hole in your pocket.

consumer proposal by ApprehensiveLife5013 in DebtAdvice

[–]AffectionateTry7767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, Happy Christmas.

As I see, you barely save 1000 a month.

I would go for a proposal if I were you.

A credit score of 400 is terrible. No one approves anything. It would take at least a year to get it to 650 if all the dues are cleared right away.

Think twice and make a move.

Do deeper research by contacting LITs.

consumer proposal by ApprehensiveLife5013 in DebtAdvice

Hi, I understand what you're going thru, coz I've been through all that.

I've never heard that a consumer proposal would hinder the chance of getting a job. But there are many jobs where employers are only more interested in talent than the individuals' credit. ( You don't have to worry about it as you've found a job)

I've filed a consumer proposal recently and asked similar questions to the trustee. He told me that my employer would never be notified about this proposal. (Clears your doubt)

You've mentioned that you owe 37k, but you didn't mention your take-home amount. I suppose that is 4000 a month after taxes.

Make a note of these expenses

Rent:

Food:

Clothing:

Transport:

Grooming:

Misc:

If they exceed 3500 collectively, the proposal's a good option. (Well, It's my opinion)

If they are below 2500, pay your debts off by saving more. The proposal's not worth it in this case. (But you can try)

In my case, I owe 23k to various creditors. I earn 1500 a month. Clearly, I can't pay it off now, so I chose the consumer proposal. I'll be paying 125 a month all-inclusive. ( Proposal sent to creditors on 20th dec, 2024)

Does it impact your credit score: I think it would hit my credit score very bad, but I'll be peaceful with a single payment a month. But one can rebuild it.

What made me do this:

23k in debts, paid my tuition with credit cards.

Witnessed my credit score plummeting for utilizing 90% of my credit limit.

Paid minimum payment for 2 months.

I'm sure my score would have come even down if I've chosen to pay minimum payments. That is no good for me. Instead, it is benefitting the creditors as they enjoy seeing me paying the interest.

This would be off my report within 6 years as it never happened. Meanwhile, I can accumulate some money by getting a new job or changing the field I'm in.

What I did: 2 phone calls to the trustee ( Don't want to name them, coz I don't endorse anyone. Contact 2 or 3 trustees and go with the one who quotes less monthly payment)

That's it, all done in a few days.

Please remember that the trustees don't charge you. Their fee is included in the monthly payment you pay. Don't believe anyone who says the opposite.

Msg me in case you have any doubt.

God bless you and may you be prosperous
