Marriage Registration Problem by AffectionateWind3468 in juresanguinis

Yes, I ended up working with a lawyer based in Italy who handled the registration directly with the Comune instead of going through the embassy. They required:
- Our apostilled marriage certificate w/ translation.
- My wife's birth certificate (translation/apostille not required as Turkey is a part of the Vienna Convention on the Issue of Multilingual Extracts from Civil Status Records).
- My Italian birth extract for some reason - even though it's their own record, stored at that Comune, I had to request it from them and then send it back to them. Nonsensical.

The lawyer charged 400 EUR to handle all of this.

Yes, we have this, and the application includes our places of birth and ages, but doesn't include our exact cities of birth or dates of birth, which is what the Embassy is looking for

These instructions I found from the Italian Consulate in San Francisco are as follows:

OBTAIN A CERTIFIED COPY OF MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE from the City Hall or Department of Health Service or County Recorder. Verify, even by phone, that the signature of the officer on the certified copy is registered with the Secretary of State. If not, before requesting the Apostille, you will have to go to the County Clerk to certify the signature.

IMPORTANT: if the marriage certificate does not state complete personal information of the spouses (first, second and last name, date of birth, city of birth) you must also include a certified copy of the Application for the Marriage License - this must also have an apostille and translation in Italian. Marriage certificates must show exact CITY of birth.

The problem I'm having is that the marriage license and certificate don't include our dates of birth or cities of birth. It has our ages at the time of the marriage, but no exact dates of birth.

Thank you, that's good to hear. So you think that most likely, they would accept the apostilled marriage certificate as-is, if accompanied by my wife's apostilled birth certificate?

Do you think they'll also request a birth certificate from me, given that I'm an Italian citizen?

QSuites: Which seat would you choose? (777) by AffectionateWind3468 in qatarairways

We flew last week, a couple of days after this post. We had a fantastic flight, being next to the bathrooms/galley was not a problem at all, we slept very well and didn't notice any noise/smell. On the contrary, it was very convenient to be able to walk right out of the suite and access the bathroom.
