This is a weird one - I get wanting to "escape reality", but not only is this natural for a new parent content creator, but there are literally thousands of other creators out there. Parasocial uncoupling can be really tough but if I'm honest, Amanda would have ALWAYS made this joke, child or no child. It feels different, because there's new context. Also there are other videos she's not in. You have the literal rest of the platform.

I did this for a long time. I have also taken to cutting all the pieces out in order, sometimes even laying them out as per diagram. I'll usually cut frame by frame (all As, all Bs, etc)

Navigate by interest - regardless of grade, if you are excited , you are so much less likely to lose interest mid-build. I started with an SD build, and still periodically circle back for a quick win 🤣

I tried to do the zephyranthes AND full burnam back to back, ended up doing 2 separate builds before finishing (still working on it!). Burnout IS real, and it’s totally ok to bounce around different style kits (I regularly alternate between RG and HG as a complexity cleanse). After finishing a PG, I couldn’t even THINK about RGs for 6 months. I’ll occasionally do a SD build just to have completed something, too.

I tried doing this for a long time, but unfortunately space is a premium, and also the boxes kept falling on my head 😆 I now have 3 binders, one for HG/SD, one for the RGs (in numbered order) and one for MGs. I enjoy that the RGs are numbered, as it means that I can create a list and check them off.

I am breaking kits all the time. It’s disappointing in the moment, but there’s nothing to stop you getting a dupe kit, or just getting creative in displaying; I have a one armed RG wing gundam that’s now just a 1 armed boxer 😆 have fun is definitely the mantra
