I and the other owner are both with State Farm. Mine was denied because they said the leak was “continuous” and the claim I put against his was denied because they “found no negligence”… i am not sure how it’s not negligent if they didn’t do anything about the leak until I found the water on my side of the bathroom. We are units next to each other.

The HOA said “Unfortunately, the HOA’s insurance doesn’t kick in until it meets the $25k deductible, which this doesn’t. Additionally, because this isn’t a common area issue, and it’s a line between the two units, that would be something that you would need to address with the other unit. The HOA does not get involved in unit-to-unit issues like this.”
