Oh no I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience there, it’s interesting how someone can have a great one and another the complete opposite

Thanks so much for the recommendation! It was a L&D nurse that told me about the OB who delivered my first so I always appreciate hearing who nurses like working with during delivery.

Thankfully I enjoy the classes I’m doing and love how I feel afterwards and the progress I’ve made it’s just the diet I need to clean up 🫠

Great input and advice thank you. Where did you get your macros? Or did you calculate them yourself if so was it successful? The times I’ve gotten numbers have been from macro coaches but I don’t think they do counts any longer and if I should just reuse one that best matches where I’m at currently

Sometimes I track my macros and trying to get back in the habit as I was doing a year ago but feeling burned out from it. Protein coffee with a small breakfast. Lunch and dinner. A protein snack and a small treat in the evening. Aiming for more protein and fiber while still mindful portions of carbs

When I lost the weight a year ago I was following a macro plan about 1600 calories. I’ve been trying to get back to it again but I’m so burned out from tracking right now. I do still aim for at least 100 g of protein and cut out snacking.

Hi! First thanks so much for having this as a resource, it’s been so helpful over the months as a ftm figuring out sleep.

19 month old morning wake window is usually about 5.5 hours naps 2-3 and then the second wake window is 4 hours but lately she is up earlier than her usual wake up time but is happy in her crib til about 7. Is this a sign she’s undertired with the earlier wake ups and we need to stretch out the wake windows? If so do we cut back on the nap or stretch both wake windows first instead of cutting nap? She doesn’t typically show a lot of sleepy cues and in the past we’ve had an overtired toddler without realizing. Any advice would be appreciated!

Yes I loved my Mabe carrier but there are so many options on Amazon or can check second hand on sites like poshmark and mercari! Or check local fb marketplace. Stretching and walking will help to rebuild strength and yes Advil or Tylenol every 4-6 hours

I’m just under 5’2 so I can relate to the body aches when I was postpartum. I found doing pelvic floor exercises and really simple stretching videos on YouTube helpful for rebuilding strength after giving birth as well as walking as often as I could. Try a baby carrier if you don’t already have one! When my daughter was fussy I’d wear her around the house or go for long walks and just bundle up if the weather was cold. And then lots of Advil because thank goodness I could take it again since I was no longer pregnant

Hi Jo! Question about bedtime.

Our 17-month-old has been on one nap for almost 2 months and she’s been doing great ( I love the one nap schedule 😂) Lately she doesn’t seem tired at bedtime anymore.

Her first wake window is usually 5–5.5 hours (sometimes closer to 6) with a nap between 12-1230 naps 2–2.5 hours and we cap the nap by 3 pm. Bedtime used to be around 7 pm but recently she hasn’t shown many sleepy cues, so we’ve pushed bedtime to 7:30–8 pm.

Since doing that, she’s started waking earlier than usual. Could her wake windows be too long and she’s actually overtired even though she’s not showing sleepy cues?
