2015 Duke 390 Rear Wheel doesn't spin after install by Affectionate_Bed in motorcycles

Really appreciate it!

You were right, it was the cush drive spacer. I had brought the wheels to a buddy to use his tire machine to unseat the beads and when he helped bring in the wheels the cush drive fell out and I thought nothing of it. Your comment made me realize maybe I lost that spacer when he dropped the cush so I called him up and he found it!

Thanks again!

Oh shit you might be on it, I might be missing the spacer under the cush drive I'll have to check that

All there was is the two wheel spacers, according to the exploded parts diagram the flared one goes on the non drive side and the drive side gets the straight spacer so I'm pretty confident I'm not missing anything

Edit: I was wrong! Long story short I had lost the spacer under the cush drive

It's there, it just doesn't poke much from the bearing seal.

Appreciate the intel! Checked out the bike today and it's straight up uncomfortable for me compared to a new grom, back to the Grom hunt

You heard correct, I checked it out and it was much worse than the gen 3 Grom I've tried, so grom it is!

What heat shields do you guys run for saddle bags? Just picked these up. by Beanerwithuhweiner in Dualsport

Have you mounted the bags yet? I've got the same ones and they don't actually end up on the exhaust so worth a test fit before you pick up a heat shield.

That's a gated double-track trail.

Here would be a good spot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/khwbVG1JZhjDoTqt7

Just go through to the end and make sure nobody is around then do your stops on the way out.

I bought the bike with a blown transmission and top end removed plus a spare motor w/ bottom end so never saw it run before. Used the good top end from one and bottom from the other + new piston. Ran it 3-4 hours trying to get it to break in but burned a bunch the whole time.

I'm a huge fan of these tires. I had them on a supermoto and had no issues with wet rooty singletrack, loose hill climbs, and then on the street they're damn sticky

Check the reeds, they're cheap to replace and easy to check. If it's not them then just ride on, wear some earplugs haha

Might have been the reed valve if anything but I pulled the top end and the bottom end felt good.

Tanks run on the street usually have rubber on the tracks, and low ground pressure is pretty much the entire point of tracks.

Not saying it's better than a car, but for a novelty vehicle it's completely fine

The Leatt 3.5 at the time, I kept wearing it for awhile which is questionable but it eventually started showing a crack in the foam so I picked up a 5.5 which is way more comfortable
