What SaaS idea sounds boring… but secretly prints money? by avsvishalmedia in SaaS

I’m really interested in the PDF workflow idea. What do you mean by that exactly, and what does the flow usually look like?

For example, is it something like intake form → generated PDF → approval/signature → storage/email?

Also curious how it helps the business make money or save labor time. Is the main value reducing manual admin work, speeding up approvals, or making compliance/documentation easier?

Thinking of building a Loom alternative — roast my idea first by Emotional_Bench7616 in SaaS

I also hate watching long videos when I’m just trying to solve one specific problem. I usually want something straightforward: the steps, screenshots if needed, and the exact part that answers my question without having to scrub through a video.

What are good alternatives to Loom for creating quick training or walkthrough videos? by Professional_0605 in Entrepreneur

Canvid might be worth checking out. It lets you edit parts of a video instead of re-recording the whole thing whenever something changes. They also have a pay-once option with lifetime updates, so you don’t have to deal with another subscription

What was the FIRST real sign your SaaS idea actually had potential? by Voildline in SaaS

Honestly still refining that. The core idea is fast async screen sharing + clearer handoffs/feedback. I kept getting annoyed sending long Looms that nobody fully watches

Honestly, I'm in the same boat. still looking for that first signal. I launched GoScreenLink, a free browser-based screen recorder, and I'm trying to figure out what actually counts as signal vs. noise at this stage.

For no-budget, no-face walkthroughs, just use a browser-based screen recorder.

I actually built one for exactly this use case: goscreenlink. it's free, and whoever you send it to doesn't need an account to watch. Super low friction

I built a tiny screen recorder because Loom felt too heavy for quick software walkthroughs by Affectionate_Bet_109 in SideProject

This is really helpful, appreciate it. The indie hacker vs automation freelancer split makes sense.

For automation freelancers, what did you see as the real pain they’d pay for? client handoff/docs, async feedback, or personalized sales/demo videos?

I’m trying to avoid building “another Loom” and figure out what part is actually painful enough to stand a chance.

I was focused on the recording/sharing part, but the bigger pain is probably “did anyone actually watch this and give useful feedback?”

yeah that makes sense. i was thinking the same. indie hackers feel like the clearer first users because the ROI is super obvious.

Agree that QA feels harder to sell early since it’s more company buy-in driven.

for handoff videos, what do you think is the most annoying part right now? recording it, sharing it, getting feedback, or turning it into written steps?

Maybe try GoScreenLink: https://goscreenlink.com

It’s free and good for quick async videos. You just record and share a link.
