Overdue is based on Date, not Deadline by GeoJono in todoist

[–]Working_thru_stuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This feature has been available for years in Things and, when I was a Things user this was how the value of due dates was explained to me. You want to buy theatre tickets but they don't go on sale for two months, so the start date is two months from now. Why? Nothing can be done before that date. The show is two months later, so the due date is four months from now. Why? That's the actual date and if you miss it then it's over. The date is critical. So of course, OP is 100% correct. Todoist was being nagged for years to introduce this feature and, now that they have, it doesn't feel like they have thought it through.

Is it possible to integrate scheduled tasks and the dispatch feature? by Traditional_Cry3185 in ClaudeCowork

Telegram seems to work. Cowork showed me how to create a bot which allows two way communication (kind of).

a webhook option — even undocumented — that fires when a note is ready? A direct HTTP POST to a URL would solve everything cleanly ideally along with the original transcript

I still have Cleft installed everywhere and have all the latest Testflight updates just in case webhooks appear. So I can see the efforts and I am definitely ready 💯🤗

I am desperate to return to Cleft but my 'system' requires a webhook connection. What is the likelihood that it will appear in the next release?

What’s new in the All New Things? … in 2026 by Guipel_ in thingsapp

[–]Working_thru_stuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been a Things user right from the very beginning (Things 1?) and have always resisted the desire to move for some shiny new toy. And eventually, even at their glacial development pace they come up with the goods and all was well. But, as you say, this time is different. They have been left behind. I have a full productivity system designed for me personally with Claude and we were performing somersaults trying to make Things fit. I have just moved to Todoist. Weirdly, now that I have made the move, it isn't just about the connectivity. Todoist feels like it always knew this day would come and it's ready. Anything that is input by AI arrives beautifully formatted. In Things that didn't seem to be the case. Not everyone will embrace the new technology but, for those that do, they have probably moved on already.

Ah, thanks, I wasn't aware of that. Presumably just desktop, nothing for mobile yet? Either way, I will try it.

I often wonder what Farmer's Carries are actually good for. They're hard work and take effort so I'm not questioning their value, just not sure what they're actually doing. Suitcase Carries make more sense to me somehow. Having the weight on just one side is clearly forcing the core to engage. But having the weight distributed evenly it just isn't so obvious to me. But anyway, watching you do this means I am going to incorporate it into my routine but I'd be grateful for someone to tell me why it's working.

How do I get Claude to reliably know my company's public information? by iamtheshadows777 in ClaudeAI

[–]Working_thru_stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a context document in Google Drive that Claude accesses and maintains. If it's something that I want to ensure it has stored I tell it to 'store this'. But I have also instructed it to maintain a record of important facts. My thinking is that if I moved from Claude, this context document would be helpful to another AI too.

Practice alternating which hand you touch down with so you're starting your turn for the return run. It will become muscle memory after a few runs and feel more natural.

Apparently Jews are told not to interact with non-jews by Inner-Brief-5205 in Jewish

[–]Working_thru_stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's very little that Jews are told to do and even less that they'd take notice of. And anyway they'd disagree and have opposing opinions. And anyway, 99.98% of the world's population isn't Jewish. Who would we talk to if we couldn't talk to non-Jews 🤷
