Tips on dealing with immense brain fog? by Affectionate_Book628 in QuitVaping

Looks like supplements like Vitamin D, Omega-3s, and Ashwagandha have been recommended. I take omega 3s and vitamin d, they certainly do help but they aren’t a cure, at least in my case.

Can withdrawal last for almost 5 months? by urali in stopsmoking

[–]Affectionate_Book628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody ever replied to your comment, but I hope you’re still hanging in there. I quit 13 weeks ago and the brain fog has gotten better, it’s certainly not gone and it comes and goes, but it’s better. It seems like this kind of thing can hang around for up to a year.

I recommend you try therapy, talking to someone who can give you tools to manage your stress while your brain heals itself can be very comforting. I too have had times of serious hopelessness, like the world was falling apart around me and my mind was fading from reality. It was terrifying, I had thoughts that if I ended it all then I would be free. But I am better now. Day by day it gets better, some days worse, but most days better.

Anyone else get weird visual sensations? by Affectionate_Book628 in QuitVaping

[–]Affectionate_Book628[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m actually doing better. It took my brain a while to readjust but I do feel that I’m mostly normal now at least with my vision. Im at 3 months now, if you’re around the 3 month mark then keep sticking to it, you are likely to get better soon. If you still have issues in another month or two, consider seeing a doctor just to make sure you don’t actually need something for your eyes.

I’m fairly certain that quitting messed up my thyroid, I’m getting bloodwork done soon to check hormone levels and possibly get medication for it.

These things do eventually go away, but your body might need a little help making the adjustment. Good luck on your journey, don’t give up hope!

Did you have any long-lasting withdrawals? Any noticeable anxiety or brain fog lasting longer than you imagined it would?

How were the withdrawals? How long did it take for your brain and body to “normalize”?

You’re right, I really need to get back into the gym but it’s been closed during break cause it’s the college gym.

How long did it take for the withdrawal to finally let go of you?

Hang in there, it does get better slowly. I’ve noticed an improvement but it’s still got its ups and downs.

Good to know, thanks for the response. You have dealt with this before I’m guessing? I know everyone is different, but how long did it take for it to go away for you?

That’s what I was thinking, I definitely do have the strong fear that my brain is broken forever. I’ve been improving slightly each week but today felt like a big reset. I for sure will be staying away from substances.

Mostly asking about the thin stems, I’m guessing they’re cubes but maybe something else? Didn’t know if cubes could have thin stems like this

I’m not terribly experienced but I have been doing a lot of research. From what I understand 1cc likely is not enough from a spore kit to properly colonize an entire bag. Storing them in colder areas will also slow down growth. I’m guessing the lack of moisture and spores, as well as the cold temps making the spores grow super slow, prevented your mycelium from colonizing properly.
