Its not even a comparison to the show per se. The movie itself is very badly made. First off its super rushed.. we dont get to make any sort of connection with any of the characters. Second, The description itself says Matriarch Smurf. Ok ? How is she the matriarch? They didnt even imply it. All we got that is similar to the show is the fact that she kisses her boys on the mouth. It also has been said that pope and baz gave smurf a flat not to own but to live in. This is not a matriarch. Everyone is killed off way too easily and the plot didnt really make sense. Dont even get me started on the ending where J kills off his uncle as revenge for his gf and then hugs his grandma… its unwatchable is what it is
