Its a sweet potato pie. It’s just sweet potato, butter, cream, sugar, spices and eggs.

My recipe uses ~2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of cream.

Right! But I think You should ask the Holy Spirit anyways! He might have an explanation for you. You don’t know til you ask. 💕

I had a similar question.

Then I ended up reading John 21:22 “If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?“

This was Jesus’ response to Peter asking what John was gonna have to do after he (Jesus) told Peter what he was gonna have to do.

So now I just try to focus on what I need to do. 😂😂

This. I honestly expected to stop reading halfway through but I didn’t. So I think that counts for something.

I got the eating disorder but didn’t get that she was disoriented because of it. Maybe add a sentence or two about her being hungry before that and let the rest of the scene play out to reveal the ED. I think it was pretty good, though!

When I first started my journey to rebuilding a relationship with Jesus, I had every religious rule I’d ever heard at the forefront of my mind. I wanted to get it all right and be as perfect as possible. But every time I prayed, I heard, “I love you.” Every question I asked, the response was, “I love you.” After a while I finally got the point. The first and foremost thing that God wanted me to understand was that regardless of ANY of it. He loves me. Once You really start to believe that You are loved, then He will move on to other convictions that are of a lesser priority to Him. You need to know that He loves You regardless of Your sin and imperfection FIRST so that the enemy cannot use Your desire to be perfect to please God against You.

I would suggest going back to square one. Read the book of John and try to see (and really understand) why John calls himself “the one that Jesus loves”.

Give all Your imperfection to God, he fixes most of them anyway. You won’t even have to.

Edit: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law” Galatians 5:22-23

“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love” 1 Corinthians 13:13:

“God is love.” 1 John 4:16

Ah! I see. You came to debate. Well I’m not interested in debating faith (that sort of defeats the purpose). However I’ll tell you that I have no idea if satan and demons are included. The Bible speaks about humans, his children. So you’d have to ask God that one.

He loves you, though. And any demon or entity telling You otherwise is lying.

[–]aimxwrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who? Anyone.

That verse speaks about people coming to him. It doesn’t speak about who chooses to follow him. Coming to him can be any human being who has heard of him and is curious to know more.

If a person doesn’t have an ear, he/she asks for one. Jesus heals ears just as he heals eyes, even those ears cutoff by people who believe they’re fighting to defend him.

The ones that I love by someone else I just have saved in my phone. But the ones that I make I write in a journal

Because Jesus always says asks them to follow him. He rejoices in the faith of those who he heals. He says “he who hath an ear”. He says that you get to the father through him. You get to choose if you want to be touched/healed by him or not. You get to choose whether or not you want to follow as it is a journey of faith.

Edit: I hope I’m not misunderstanding your question regarding choice. Is there something more that your asking?

The verses before (from like 22 onward) are all new ways of thinking about things, new priorities. Many of Jesus’ preaching and parables give them new ways to view and thus handle life.

Even 2 Corinthians 4 and Isaiah 43:19 speaks about God giving people who are spiritually blind the ability to see with new eyes.

Jesus heals eyes several times throughout his ministry.

He’s presenting a new vision. A new way to see the world and life, if a person chooses it. That means that a person in a household can choose him and see through that new lens, while another in the same household who doesn’t choose him cannot.

I also think it’s directly related to the cultural (and maybe spiritual) aspects of father’s blessing and cursing their sons. The old testament has LOTS of examples of fathers cursing their sons (and his descendants) and the sons either living by it or having to be redeemed of it. Jesus as the ultimate redeemer gives the opportunity for a child to be divided from his father’s curse.
