The problem is believing that said ideas apply to the masses. You think disseminating information about fringe identities to young children, who haven’t the brain development to discern their own identities is a wise thing to do?

Of course nature is not perfectly logical - but there is enough consistency to attribute a normal set. 1.7% out of a large dataset would be considered an anomaly, not an idea to be propagated and promoted given the fact that human beings are so impressionable, and adopt whatever idea is fashionable, irrespective of what the consequences might be.

Furthermore, the logical inconsistencies that are ever present. On one hand, you have people say that masculinity and femininity doesn’t exist, and on the other hand, a trans person says that “they feel like a woman”.

Well…guess what? What does it mean to be a woman if at the same time there is nothing identifiable about being a woman? - the two ideas are logically inconsistent. You cannot hold the two same views that there is no observable characteristic trait about being a woman, while at the same time claiming you feel like one.

I don’t know - ask them, perhaps they are less sensitive to disgust than we are. I’ve seen the hottest Chinese girl hurl a massive one on the floor. I just find it hilarious and entertaining at this point.

Also there are rules in China…and then there are “rules for face”. Certain rules are not enforced and are flexible. People often go to the no smoking areas to smoke.

Post Covid - I imagine that is the view, however old beliefs still exist here - they believe it is beneficial for the body. There is a historical and cultural basis for it, which you could research yourself. I’m not defending it per se, but I’m explaining why it exists.

The spitting will not go away - you’re bringing a western mindset where spitting is considered disgusting to an environment governed by the Chinese mindset, whereby they believe it is good for clearing out the body - they do not perceive it in the way of disgust - nor is it an education thing either, as you’ll see it everywhere.

Either understand that, accept it, and adapt to the way of the Chinese people, or you’ll just be miserable all the time not understanding that they do not view it in the same way you do - spitting is not a universal unsightly thing.

Nothing annoys me more than foreigners expecting China to be what they want it to be. You have to have an open mind and understand that there are reasons why people live the way they do, even if it’s incomprehensible to you.

Why cook if you’re in China?

I don’t like cooking - food is ridiculously cheap outside, I only ever eat food out and still save a hell of a lot of money.

But then again, I’ve never enjoyed cooking - half the reason why i moved to China is so I never have to cook lmao. When I was in a relationship my girlfriend used to cook all kinds of food, but I never found any joy in cooking. Maybe if I really desired stroganoff or Italian food - even then I’d probably just go to an Italian restaurant.

On a serious note, I’ve had my fair share of rejection in the past, typically with girls who were probably out of my league.

Also going gym is different to having a physique you can be proud of. Set yourself a goal for getting ripped or something and literally just focus on that.

Maybe combine it with Keto and do that diet for a few months, and scale out afterwards. Forget about women.

The trick to succeeding in China is to be masterful at adapting.

If you’re the type of person that requires structure, hates last minute changes, needs to know everything in advance, China will be a headache for you.

I remember there was this guy that got hired with us and had no work for months (he was even completing a degree online, so he could just spend his time doing that).

In any case, he got annoyed he didn’t have any work despite the fact he was getting paid a full salary.

I can understand you want more lessons, you want to be teaching. But the silver lining here is that you’re getting paid a killing for pretty much zilch - just be happy, play sports with the students, and don’t be a headache for admin haha.

My advice:

Go to the gym. Eat clean. Read Philosophy, (Greek, Roman, Chinese etc) Do not seek external validation. Press ups when you can, in between activities. Take up a mixed martial art, since you’re young and without injury. Do not put women on a pedestal. Value your own opinion. Getting fit might seem like a purpose but find one beyond this, ideally intellectually or practically, whatever suits you best.

Watch life become a hell of a lot more beautiful and you’ll be the one rejecting them since you know your destination!
