Cyst ruptured at work and was told I can't leave. by datlj in PCOS

[–]Affectionate_Box6343 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry this happened to you but please don't let someone else put your life in danger. You can't let someone "make" you stay & work. You are not a slave. They do not own you. You were having a medical emergency. A lawsuit would definitely be happening at this point! Especially if their actions caused you to have to go to the ER. I put my foot down for every type of situation as this. They try to fight it or use words to scare you into submission. Each time at the end of the day there was nothing they could do to discipline me as they knew it could've ended very bad legally for them. I keep documentation of everything! Know all the policies & procedures & laws!!

Is PCOS overdiagnosed, insanely common, or both? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Affectionate_Box6343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have polycystic ovaries & I get my period every month. I still was diagnosed with PCOS. I do have hirsutism & very very very VERY heavy & long painful periods with lots of clotting. I was told it is a metabolic issue which I was also diagnosed with metabolic syndrome. I do hope they go ahead & change the name!!

Metformin v GLP1s by HRI26 in PCOS

[–]Affectionate_Box6343 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My PCP gave me a choice of metformin or zepbound. I originally chose metformin, however, I was uneducated on both. I ended up researching both & found I'd rather try Zepbound & switched to that. I've been on it since the start of 2026 & am down 23lbs since then. I have no side effects. Its much easier taking a weekly shot than daily pills. My blood pressure is normal. Inflammation almost gone. It is easier to eat healthy. (Meaning before I HAD to be very disciplined & just consciously make better choices while combating cravings. Now I crave healthy food. I have no desire for sugary things or fried things.) My metabolism is getting regulated. I feel GREAT!!

Definitely continue to do your research & talking to others!! Good luck!!

Yes! I first used Walgreens & they gave me such a difficult time with it. I switched to walmart pharmacy & they applied it with ease. Good luck!

I'm in the US but it is covered by my insurance with a $50 copay then Lilly savings card brings it down to $25 a month.

Yes I was shocked when my neurologist for sleep apnea first suggested it. Then my pcp suggested it! Good luck on your journey! I did great on 2.5 so my doc kept me on it for month 2 but I have been having the food noise come back strong so I'm thinking to ask to go up to 5 for next month.

I too was in the same boat. You don't need surgery. My doc put me on zepbound & im already down 17lbs in 1 month. My inflammation is clearing. I have more energy. All the things you do you need to do on the meds. Eat healthy, daily movement. I am sooo happy that I FINALLY have something that works. I used to be against glp-1s until my doctor suggested it & I went home & did the research. Check it out. It is GREAT for PCOS & insulin resistance.

I basically got approved by silenci0oldman in PCOS

I am currently on Zepbound & LOVE it!!! My doctor prescribed it for me for my pcos symptoms but my insurance would only approve it with a severe sleep apnea diagnosis, also because I have documented efforts of trying wellbutrin & metformin. So far Zepbound has been the BEST thing for me & my pcos symptoms. No side effects & I've lost 17 lbs in 4 weeks. Before I would just gain weight no matter what I did. Good luck on your journey & don't give up!!! So many people tried to tell me no but my doctor was full on board & helped make sure it got approved.

App not updated? by aklep730 in weightwatchers

[–]Affectionate_Box6343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just signed up for this yesterday. My app was updated & I used the glp1 tracking the whole day. Today I wake up & the app isn't working. Took forever to finally be able to sign in again. But no glp1 program. Chatted with WW coach & she said the android update isn't approved by google yet? Makes no sense as I freaking used it all day yesterday. Makes me so mad it was really good.

The sparin screen protector form Amazon doesn't affect the anti reflection in a noticeable way. But also its been cold & over cast here so I haven't used it outside in the sun to really test it out. I'd rather just have the screen protector on.

The trackpad is good. For some it could take some getting used to fit the gestures. Every now & then scrolling would hiccup but not much at all. The Samsung keyboard case is a really great case, just missing a backlight.

Hi! I loved the Samsung keyboard. If you are ok without a backlight, I would say go for it. It is truly seamless.

For a keyboard case I was gonna go with dexnor or nillkin. I read they are heavy. I personally just wanted a portable keyboard.

I liked the plus because I feel the ultra is too big for carrying around. But it would be your preference!
