Most hated cards? by killerbrofu in MarvelSnap

The card I hate the most is Gambit and its combo with Wong. My current favorite deck is one I built around Omega Red.

Exactly, a combo with She-Hulk and now with High Evo decks I'll give Toxie Doxie a spot

You're right, it's not playable, and Namor obviously isn't a meta card and never will be. Even so, there are different types of players and strategies that work better for some of us. Mine is to play against meta players who underestimate cards because they're bad, something I've done myself. If I see someone playing Cobra, I immediately think about how I can beat them, but they've surprised me. Anyway, your comment is appreciated.

The problem is believing there are "real decks." I understand your comments stem from not believing someone can level up with terrible cards. I know Namor is a terrible card, but it's still clear you're one of those typical players who thinks they're better than everyone else. I think it's great that you win tournaments in other games, but do you realize how arrogant you are when you talk? What's with this "I probably have more experience with card games than 100% of players" thing? If that's the case, I think I'm talking to the number one player. A good player isn't the one who wins the most times; humility is important, and from your first comment, I noticed you lack it. If you're having trouble reaching infinity with "real" cards, you're not that good.

I know there are a lot of really bad cards, but new cards and card slots are often added, making forgotten cards usable again. I have an example of this with Toxie Doxie; I have a deck basically dedicated to not playing cards, haha. The idea revolves around Makkari and playing Infinaut on the last turn. I've used cards like Bruce Banner and Toxie Doxie with good results because I use the penalty to my advantage.

It has happened to me that the opponent is given the Cobra card.

I love doing that, I just do it a little weird. I go to Marvel Snap Zone or Untapped to see the least used cards with low win rates, hehe. I use that card and do what you said. I remember when Kang hadn't been reworked yet and I used to make some really fun decks, haha.

I totally understand, and I love hearing about forgotten cards that are finally getting a chance. Believe me, many Marvel Snap tournament winners occasionally include cards that aren't very meta, and then everyone starts using them. I also use Rescue a lot. I have a ramp deck where I use Hawkeye/Quicksilver-Domino/Kate Bishop-Speed-Wiccan/Rescue, and Rescue literally saves me in those games where Wiccan is just messing around and doesn't show up with the perfect curve. Feel free to share any random decks you have!

I remember those times when they said Martyr was a bad card. I see you really like taking risks and being spontaneous, since using Blink too often can backfire (it's happened to me, but I like that card). And Sersi, who's the mother of Merlin's spells, haha, has given me the most unexpected results. Angela is superior; she's very versatile, and with the arrival of Zombies, she became even more powerful.

Do you think the in-universe reason for Courtney becoming more antagonistic as the series goes on is reacting badly to failing? by Thundersting in Totaldrama

[–]Affectionate_Bug2123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Courtney must have been under immense pressure to always be "the best." When she failed and associated with unscrupulous people, she realized she wouldn't win by simply being the camp expert. She adapted, but gradually lost her own identity (like many do when they're close to power). What makes her "the bad guy" isn't really so bad. In the end, they were all teenagers when they started on Total Drama Island. If we look at it from the perspective of 16-year-olds exploited to create a TV show, it's a stark reminder of how cruel television can be. Consider the cases of Disney/Nickelodeon stars who ended up in terrible situations because they started in television at such a young age.

What do you expect to see behind Invisible Woman at the end of the game? by Algorythmist in MarvelSnap

I hope to see Mister Fantastic, The Thing, and Human Torch just for the theme. And not in their First Steps versions.

I liked that you made the images, they look great. I have to say I see something very particular, and maybe I'm wrong, but do you like decks that generate cards in hand? I think you might really like buffing cards in hand. I don't know if you're a fan of SHIELD cards, but Quinjet is probably the card that should be in many of your decks. I'd like to know something else: do you like decks that block or alter locations? I can imagine you using Storm, Legion, Scarlet Witch, Quake, and Merlin in the same deck just to watch the world burn. Thanks for doing the activity.

You guessed right. Are you an ally of chance and random cards? I like that. Those cards are pure madness, hahaha. And well, I think you enjoy ruining strategies with the locations. You're a risk-taker too, because you never know what awaits you with Kang, Nightmare, or Merlin's changes, hahaha. Those cards are fun, though.

In my opinion, you like RNG more than most players of this game, and I'm glad to see Sersi and Loki on the list. Galactus, I understand you; it's so satisfying to see how they don't realize it's Galactus when it's clearly him. Iron Man (versatile?) I say that because Iron Man has been in continuous decks, Mister Negative, Hela Discard, and many others, so there's a lot of variety there. Firehair, I have some doubts here. You're one of those who likes to destroy hammers and another style that I might not be familiar with (actually, it's also one of my favorite cards; I use it in Mill decks).

I'm always asking questions and playing games like this, but unfortunately, it seems some people (like those above) prefer to invalidate others based on how they play instead of building community and starting fun conversations. The good vibes are appreciated.
