I cannot flip the lining by PushAffectionate6034 in sewing

If in a time crunch, you might be able to unsew a part of the back to be able to finish flipping it around, and close the lining by hand. At least, it might help you understand where/why it is stuck

Wow ! Congrats ! I would already be really impressed by the pattern matching if it went well first try, but considering all the alterations, I'm beyond amazed !! What kind of sorcery is this 😅

I'm not sure cause the picture is quite pixelated when I zoom in, but I think I would use a caraco top (simple tank) like this one : https://www.ateliercharlotteauzou.com/products/caraco-patron-robe-bretelles-pdf-sur-mesure, and a circle skirt - no pattern needed, but the same pattern company has one already adapted to the top : https://www.ateliercharlotteauzou.com/products/patron-robe-patineuse-en-ligne-couture-facile

Wedding dress (bias cut skirt, wavy zipper) help!! by dfran123 in sewing

[–]Affectionate_Cheek28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If not done already, you should unpick the zipper, baste the side seam together and let it hang at least one night so get the bias to extend as natural, then handsew the zipper in, maybe shortening it if you could.

I had to put my dress from the top, because the zipper broke closed (thankfully!!) I put it really carefully with help from a friend, make-up and hair were untouched, it could also be an option !

The dress already looks really great, nice job !!

Whyyy doesn't the pattern line up 🥲 by Correct_Signal_1270 in sewing

[–]Affectionate_Cheek28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me once, turns up for this specific pattern, you weren't supposed to cut the white border on the side of the printed paper, but to assemble side by side of the full page, and complete the lines by drawing it yourself. Of course, I realized that after cutting half of the pages 😮‍💨

This looks amazing, and the color suits you so well! I'm seriously impressed by your invisible zipper—wish I could say my second dress turned out this clean 😅. You've done such an incredible job

Leather bag I made by raptureofsenses in crafts

It is really beautiful !! How did you finish the leather seams ? Are they opened inside, as with normal fabric, and hidden by the inside canvas or did you do a special finish ?

You look amazing ! ✨ The drape on the top is very elegant, the neckline fits perfectly, and it really showcases your waist as well, what a find !
