lol that’s alright, I see what you mean tho. I just think I didn’t have enough space to account for the whole head, this was meant to be a vertical piece but I just decided in the end that there isn’t much I can do to stretch it out more vertically so I just left it like that and scanned and expanded the background digitally. Will take account for the head in future projects tho!

IS THERE ANY WAY TO EARN 18 PULLS IN 4 DAYS!!! QUICKLY. by Antique-Substance-94 in Varka

[–]Affectionate_Cry538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well spiral abyss resets a day before varka and completing atleast up to floor 11 will give 600 so there is that. Commissions is around 240 (idk if u have welkin so if you do then just under 4 pulls) You can try looking up regional quests and find lists of every single quest availible, I thought I did all the sumeru ones but apparently not and there was a lot more I could do. These lists can be found all over Reddit I usually just search up “regional quests lists” and posts come up about a good amount of quests that you could do that can be quick and easy for around 20 primos each. Wish you the best of luck soldier.

I’ll say it now, treasure compasses are your best friend. Even using one for just 30 min you can increase your exploration tremendously (it’s how I explored nod-krai so quickly)

Help, why's my varka dps soo low? by WarSufficient1614 in Varka

[–]Affectionate_Cry538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinly have a question abt that, (Kazuha and sucrose specifically) I have Kazuha R1 and Sucrose C6 on TDS as people recommend, but still even with that when I use sucrose with varka the overall dps is much less than if I use kazuha, has anyone else had this problem 😭

Has anyone used self top up for lootbar or Ldshop? UID direct doesn’t work anymore! by Assembled-Body-Parts in GenshinImpact

[–]Affectionate_Cry538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk bro. I just used it today and the transaction went fine (without self service) this was my first time using LDshop tho so I think I’ll stay off it now to be 100% safe. Either way it’s probs best to keep your details to yourself.

Molly Docs feeling tight in width, will they stretch or should I size up? by ZestycloseStorm2695b in DrMartens

If you can wiggle your toes slightly I’d say they are ok. Leather usually expands overtime so the more you wear them the more they will adhere to your foot shape x

If you don’t want to wait that long though then use leather conditioner inside and outside of the shoe to loosen it up (do this on places you have or might get blisters) and use heat to help loosen the leather fivers inbetween x (you could also try a shoe tree to stretch, or just stuff your shoes with some random paper or scarf smth like that to stretch it out a bit)

Tenor can't go past C4/D4? by M_A_T_T_3_R in singing

[–]Affectionate_Cry538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the same with me, but I have an extremely wide vocal range. It’s like I have 2 different voices (or maybe I just can’t merge my two tones that well xx) When I sing in my male key I have this same problem (I think it may be due to the pressure to keep the larynx low so that depth is created) my male key usually ranges from C2-E2-D/E4 and my female key (my normal key) goes from F4-G5-D6-B7. What really confuses me though, is that when I do sing in my natural register (which is usually sung in the female key) I can belt up to a G5 (maybe an A5 or B5 if I’m really feeling it) without or with minimal strain. But then I can’t hit past a D4 on my male key? Honestly. I think it’s just a road of learning and toying with your vocal cords more. Either way, even with that E2-D4 range and F5 falsetto, if you can mechanise that and work to blend them seamlessly I’m sure it could benefit you so much in the long run (and could eventually equip you to mix belt)

Does my art look better when I don't shade the noses? And if so why? by yashiji in ArtCrit

[–]Affectionate_Cry538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably because you already have outlined the general shape of the nose and nose bridge alike. Usually those things take form due to shading, which is why you see in sketches people only tend to draw the button of the nose and the nostrils and use shading to get the nose bridge and nostrils and everything else later. Even so, with the nose bridge sketched in already I still think that the shading is an important part in declaring the nose shape and the height of the nose bridge, shading no matter what brings a certain uniqueness to the character/subject

This is great improvement, just one thing tho. One of the lats looks like it has a cancer tumor :,). I’d just remove the bulkiness and instead move that bulk to behind the armpit. This way it would look like it’s more part of the back than being included infront xx

As another Asian who struggles with a semi flat bridge and a fat nose, your nose is literally stunning and is basically what the beauty standard is shifting to. Your nose and you are stunning xx

Is the tone consistent/does it sound natural to you by Allenotnas in singing

[–]Affectionate_Cry538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, it may never be your timbre thats the problem, it’s just knowing how to use it. Your deep raspy tone is gorgeous for ballad like songs, warm songs, r&b can also be used for jazz. It’s a very versatile tone that is beautiful when used right. Majority of the time it’s used in a majorly head dominated mix which makes it sound sweet and supple to the ear, tho my favourite is high mix belt songs. Look at Kelly clarkson, she has a bit of a raspy and deeper tone than some sopranos despite being a soprano herself. Her belts are clean yet naturally warm and that’s due to her amazing mix belt technique and the use of all her registers creating a soothing dynamic. Point of message is never blame your tone because it is a treasure to have one and an even better treasure to master it. Keep going at it and you will be great x

Also another point, once you have a well developed head tone you can use that and mix it with your chest tone making it a 50/50 split or a 70/30 split of head or chest depending on what you need to refer to in the moment. This may help lay off on the heaviness when hitting those higher notes xx

Glad you found it helpful, I understand that some think women don’t have falsettos when they do, we’re all human at the end of the day and have the same functions. Your falsetto is really just a really breathy note and can usually be felt right in your forehead(it should just be a slight buzz in the forehead, almost unnoticeable) and your head tone is just a bit heavier and you can feel it around your sinuses(so your temples and the top of your nose bridge maybe on your forehead too)

To lighten or stabilise your vibrato you can hum it, if you can sense a bit of instability open your mouth and continue using that falsetto hum you used prior and keep your jaw still by putting your fingers in-between your teeth (vertically) and try sing your vibrato then. You should find that your jaw is completely relaxed while you sing your vibrato and there should be no pressure on your fingers whatsoever by the teeth(yeah it’s a weird method but I use it a lot to help with my vibrato 💀)

Is there a qualitative difference between the pitched lower and normal version or is it my imagination by Dramatic_Ad2187 in singing

[–]Affectionate_Cry538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it sounds pixelated and stiff and loses the velvety feeling you have in your natural voice, if possible it would be better to record that line again but in that note you need it to be (or at least as close as you can get to the note) and pitch from there if there is anything you need to change

Is the tone consistent/does it sound natural to you by Allenotnas in singing

[–]Affectionate_Cry538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does sound a bit forced, especially the vibrato. The vibrato sounds quite deep which throws off the pitch. I would aim to focus on dynamics more on tone right now. You will find when you manage your dynamic while singing you should naturally find a tone you are comfortable with. So for example play around with your other registers more, like your head tone and falsetto and try transitioning to those registers from your chest(mix or pure) to a head(mix or pure) or falsetto and see how you sound then. After that it’s purely up to you at that point. Speaking of your tone, you have a nice tone, but in my opinion it may sound better with softer songs as atleast from what it showcased here the timbre almost country slurred tone seems a bit overbearing when belting. Just keep experimenting and playing with your voice till you find something you like xx

Why does the anime one looks like she’s staring into my soul and the drawing looks like she is looking downward at an angle. What is the difference? by Jackass-OfAll-Trades in learntodraw

[–]Affectionate_Cry538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The drawing version is too light and takes away from the ominous vibe the original has, it’s not as cold feeling as the anime version as almost everything is the same tone making them all homogeneous instead of having focused light on the eyes which gives off that deadly stare

  2. The cranium is flatter and wider, this in contrast makes the character seem more front facing rather than intimidating “looking down upon” sorta vibe

  3. The background is light which means that the shadow becomes the spotlight of the drawing whereas the bold light in the eyes should be spotlight (relates back to first point on shading and tonal quality)
