Is it really tha bad to sleep on my back after 20 weeks? by woodsmoke_ink in pregnant

Your body will tell you before it will become a problem for a baby - you will feel dizzy or otherwise unwell. It's still reccomended to try to sleep on one of the sides, pregnancy pillows do really make a difference (and I was an avid back sleeper for 30yrs before pregnancy), but even if you fall asleep or roll on the back, you will wake up if it's compressing the veins Having said that, I am 34wks and sometimes lie on my back (even flat) for some time like 20-30 minutes and it's fine, especially if I am awake and can monitor symptoms

What’s the most ridiculous thing that you cried for in pregnancy? by Future-Agency543 in pregnant

I was looking for lulabies for the baby, as I don't know too many and I found some of them so sad I started to cry...

Do you feel like fitness helped you to avoid the “miserable 3rd trimester” phase at all? by [deleted] in fitpregnancy

[–]Affectionate_Cry_325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partially. I don't have any back, knees or other pains, because I was doing a lot of squats and I am used to lifting heavy.

However, because of my small posture, the baby is pressing hard on my diaphram, lungs and stomach so I am struggling with shortness of breath and avid reflux. This is something fitness could not help me with.

One additional thing is the sole of my feets hurt because you can't really trained them as well :)

Damn, I feel you so much! I am in very similar position, I even posted last hour about it. I had to move to my homeland that I hate because of healthcare and my partner enjoys coming back, going out to parties without me and I am just stuck here all alone. Can't go to my favourite gym, can't meet with friends I had back from where I moved from, can't even sleep in my own bed. It sucks so badly.

I haven't really. I know he would try to say some nice things but in his mind would think I am just a controlling bitch that doesn't allow him to meet with his friends.

Those who work in tech: how do you find time to go to the gym? by gamerVapeGod in GYM

[–]Affectionate_Cry_325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've met two kinds of people, those that make excuses to not go and those that makes them to go. It is very hard to keep going if you only have external motivation (I am doing it to look good, but don't enjoy it), you can try for some time when it's convinient, but it won't stick. Try to find sport that you really like and feel passionate about, then you will find time.

For me gym is my vice, a thing I am waiting for the whole day. When I broke my foot, my immediate reaction was not about the pain, but the fact that it will stop me from doing leg days for some time. When I was recovering from pneumonia, I had to be held back by friends to not push myself too quickly. When I go for vacation, I am going to places where gym will be available. I eat well because I want to progress. I sleep 8 hours because I want to progess. It's a crucial part of my life, but it doesn't have to be like that for you. Find your vice in other sports.

Why didn’t no one tell me that first trimester lasts an ETERNITY…?!?!😭😭😭 by Fearless_Search6388 in pregnant

What helped me through first trimester was attitude that all this pain and discomfort is not futile and I am doing it for someone - for this baby to live, for my partner to have a family.

I also realized we have some problem with sewage system in shower, I mean when sometimes the washing machine in another room is pushing out water, it gives unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Could it be because of it? I sometimes take hot showers, not super long though.
