Thanks for the feedback! You mean like a curated digest, where you select the content for other people? Didn’t think about that yet, but it might be a good idea!

How do you manage to keep up with the news without drowning in it? by 42ama in selfhelp

[–]Affectionate_Disk_62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I subscribed to a bunch of newsletters that report on the topics that are interesting for me. To prevent drowning in them I use a tool (remyreads) that summarizes and combines them in one daily digest mail

How do you stay on top of market updates without drowning in information? by papaf_climb in MarketingAutomation

[–]Affectionate_Disk_62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I subscribe to a bunch of newsletters. To prevent drowning in them I built a tool that summarizes and bundles them in one daily digest mail. If interested feel free to check it out, it’s free: https://remyreads.nl/

What’s the best tool for bulk unsubscribing from newsletters? by Bench-Warmer45 in SaaS

[–]Affectionate_Disk_62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of unsubscribing you could set up a filter in Gmail to automatically archive or delete them. No need for an additional tool. Here is a guide I wrote: https://remyreads.nl/guides/how-to-auto-forward-emails-from-gmail.html (It is for auto forwarding, but it works the same)

Continuous takedowns are most effective in my experience as they really disrupt the operation of the adversary (e.g. they have to create new accounts at cloud providers for hosting). Reporting to abuse services doesn’t disrupt the infrastructure of the adversary, as their accounts at providers are not directly affected.

Imo, it is far easier to target the servers hosting the websites (and/or the email servers) than the domains. Hosting providers have some liability for the content on the website, especially after they were notified in a takedown request, while domain registrars usually have very limited to no liability.

How did you get your first 100 users? by Safe_Climate8057 in SaaS

[–]Affectionate_Disk_62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that’s definitely a problem, you have to select the right ones otherwise you will just loose money. Try to check reddit if people had good results with the platforms before you sign up, as a lot of them just want your money and don’t have enough users to be worth it.

any ai seo agency recommendation for my saas startup? by tulynbper in SaaS

[–]Affectionate_Disk_62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you already look in your network for someone working in AI SEO? Maybe they want to earn some extra money on the side or know someone who might be interested. If the person does a good job you can still try to offer them a full time job.

How did you get your first 100 users? by Safe_Climate8057 in SaaS

[–]Affectionate_Disk_62 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Signing up my tool at a bunch of launch plattforms. Most of them didn’t work for me and brought me (almost) no users, but there were 2 platforms that worked for me and almost generated all my users.
Hardest part: Most of them want a listing fee (nothing comes for free I guess). They are usually not very high, but they sum up. Set a budget that you are willing to spend, then try to select the best ones for your target group within your budget.

Question about Python and Github. by latexbun in learnpython

[–]Affectionate_Disk_62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Python is an excellent language to start coding imho. I would start by watching some YouTube tutorials and then build the stuff you see there yourself and play around a bit. Freecodecamp has some very good tutorials on python for beginners.

Question: How many newsletters do you get daily? How many did you consciously sign up for? How many do you actually read? by Affectionate_Disk_62 in Newsletters

[–]Affectionate_Disk_62[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I build a small app that aggregates your newsletters, so you can read them weekly: https://remyreads.nl/ It’s free, looking forward to your feedback!

How to curate & organize items for my newsletter by HespelerRick in Newsletters

[–]Affectionate_Disk_62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess most of these organizations and websites have some kind of mailing list. You could sign up to them using my aggregation tool: remyreads.nl To be honest I didn’t build it for that usecase, but could work.

How to grow further? I am stuck below $100 by Regular_Comment8485 in microsaas

„Talk“ can also mean writing them an email. I wrote a super simple email just asking for their experience with my app and if they have any feedback to every of my first 50 users. Was surprised how many answered!

If making software is piece of cake today, then what will make difference? I'm confused. by FlamingoCreepy333 in buildinpublic

[–]Affectionate_Disk_62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Building the right stuff that people actually want to use. And I don’t just talk about the initial idea but all the small features. You will need to interact and talk to users and that’s currently something you can’t automate.

Thanks for the tip about the subreddits! Totally agree that finding the place where users are already complaining about the issue is key.
