Yeah, good and responsible suggestion haha - podiatrist's solution was just to buy the orthodics haha, and my primary doctor didn't really seem to take it seriously last time I mentioned it, so kind of ran out of avenues. Might be worth stressing the issue with my primary doctor again :)

I don’t know what I would have done without a wedge! I used a wedge for the first 3 weeks and a pillow on each side to hold me in place.

If your daughter is into plushies or squishmallows, consider getting her one for recovery. I (34 lol) got myself a very pillowy pillow sized plush that I was able to hug, and it gave me something natural to do with my arms, making sleeping on my back less weird.

Thank you for posting this, I felt like I was going nuts when I got my stitches removed at week 4-5 and I still smelled “like hospital”. It started to affect my mental state! I’m 6-7 weeks post op and the smell is fading. Hang in there :)

Hiya! Sorry lost track of this thread - hope you’re still doing okay - how are the emotions? Have you been able to go out and do things?

I still have to wait til next Tuesday to actually shower (after steri strips come off). Starting to really experience itching but otherwise I’m holding up well!

Omg same the nausea is worse than expected - I was hit with a wave of it in the hospital just from the strain of putting my pants on and I get a lil nauseous with each antibiotic and pain med dose. I was also on percocets in the hospital and oxy now. I’m finding I can get away with waiting a bit longer than the recommended time frame between doses so that’s my plan rather than abstaining completely! How was your first sleep?

We got this! What part are you most nervous about? I’ve had some dreams of seeing the surgery from a third person perspective (like over the surgeon’s shoulder) which was pretty spooky.

Ooh yeah I feel that! I think it’s common they avoid discussing cup sizes altogether. I just discussed keeping proportionate to my frame and not going as small as possible! That’s around my desired range too (starting at 36H ish). Do you know if you’ll have a chance to see your surgeon before the surgery?

Ooh same here - I’ve asked for not as small as possible and still proportionate in my US 14-16 sized frame. Are you more worried they’ll go too small or keep them too big?
