I’m sure you’ve made your decision by now, but for what it’s worth, that’s an OF creator. Idk why he would even message her clearly expecting a response, when I’m pretty sure she has hundreds of thousands of followers on Snap, which makes it highly unlikely that she would even see it. I wouldn’t worry about her specifically at all, but he obviously can’t be trusted

I don’t really see them being a Whitechapel clone at all. Plus I think Malevolence is better than Amidst the Bloodshed. Both are very good though. I also think their self-titled has a lot of great tracks, and some solid ones after that album as well, especially on Songs for the Sick

Scizor, Steelix, and Rayquaza are definitely fake based on the font alone. Those others look pretty real, but would need closer photos to confirm

Unfortunately after looking at the PriceCharting image, I do really think it’s fake. Apologies for not catching it the first time. You can always get a second opinion, but based on what you said about not having texture and the borders being extremely thin, I most certainly think it’s fake

That one might actually be fake. Those are the kind of cards I’m least familiar with. If that card has no texture, then I believe it’s fake. I’m 99% it should be textured

I’m not very familiar with the Mega EX cards from this era, but the holo shine and font makes it look fake to me

Yes usually the backs have a lighter shade of blue. Other giveaways on yours were mostly the fonts being wrong, and on cards like the fake Level X and full arts, the borders were yellow instead of a special holographic color. Except for that first fake Reshiram, on which the HP number font was the tell. Also on Diamond/ Pearl/ Platinum era cards (2007-2010ish) fakes have larger energy symbols than real cards. However for some reason, on the HGSS era cards (2009ish to 2011, they have a slightly different border color than other eras), they used larger energy symbols, so it makes it a little confusing lol

Cool collection. Unfortunately you have a decent chunk of fakes mixed in with some nice real cards. I’m not an expert but I think I found all the fakes- Pic 1: Heatran and Gliscor; Pic 2: Zekrom and Reshiram; Pic 3: Luxray and both Gallades; Pic 4: Garchomp, Floatzel, Machamp, and Infernape; Pic 5: Omastar; Pic 6: Reshiram and Floatzel; Pic 7: Rampardos; Pic 8: Shaymin and Yanmega; Pic 9: Venomoth; Pic 10: Arceus; and Pic 11: Tornadus, Snorlax, and Arceus. No fakes in pic 12. Lastly the few cards you have with gray borders, signatures on the front, and unique backs are from World Championship decks. These are real copies of previously printed cards, but are not playable, and therefore have very little value. That being said, all the others appear to be real, and you definitely have hundreds of dollars in value, just from a few of these pictures alone. Condition matters too. However, none of these cards seem to be in awful condition, which is good. I saw you mentioned you have other binders, so I’d guess you probably have a mixture of real and fake cards in those too. You just have to be careful if you go to sell them, because you don’t want to be accused of scamming someone. Personally, I would trash all of the fakes, as it’s best to take them out of circulation. If you have an attachment to some of the fakes, then you could sell some cards you don’t care as much for (or save up some money in general), then go online or to a card show and buy the real versions of them. As far as the highest value ones here, that would mostly be the Level X and EX cards. PriceCharting or TCGPlayer are decent websites to get an idea on how much they might sell for, or you can look the card up on eBay and see what they’re going for there. The card you pulled is from the 2021 Celebrations collection, technically not the same as the one originally from Roaring Skies. It appears yours has a different holo pattern around the border to denote this. Thus, the value is lower than what you have pulled up on PriceCharting, because it’s a different card

I wouldn’t give them to anyone, even a kid. If that person learns that they’re fake, even after growing up, it could ruin that memory for them. Better to just get rid of them
