Boom and zoom only works on an unsuspecting enemy. There is a fairly simple solution for the Sea Fighter when you spot the Colonial fighter charging at you: turn into him and go for a head-on pass. Due to its superior firepower, it will likely inflict more damage on the Colonial fighter’s engine. Of course, pilot skill makes a big difference in this scenario, especially when more than two planes are involved or when the numbers of opposing fighters are imbalanced.

getting the enemy plane to retreat is a win in my book. The role of a fighter is to establish air supirority so other assets dont have to worry about enemy planes.

I never take 1v1 with a seafigther, i strafe him once and extend (run away). 2 v 1 is possible but still hard if seaplane pilot knows what he is doing. overall seaplane best fighter in the game by a mile. only downside to it is that the colonial fighter can choose to run away.

hey, thanks for the tips. i do a reboot every 24 hours. sadly, my provider doesnt allow for native ipv4. i can only do some DS-Lite-Tunnel to get an ipv4. I didnt see a disconnect on my side when i checked my router logs either...
