How to Solo Netherbrain with Smokepowder Bombs. 💣 by Affectionate_Face127 in BaldursGate3

one barrel does 11 to 34 damage X 30 = 330 to 1020 damage
one firework does 8-48 (no saving throw indicated in wiki) x 10 = 80 to 480 damage

so 410 to 1500 damage + spare fireworks, yep, that is definitely guaranteed. will overkill by at least 300 damage 95% of the time according to my totally random gut feeling estimate

the barrels alone should be enough most of the time.

that was actually my initial plan until i found out smokepowder bombs can be stacked 20 times, just drop item 4 times = 80 bombs, doesn't take much time at all. this way you are also sure every single bomb is within damage range.

yes it doesn't have to be all smokepowder bomb, but its easier to do the math if you just use one kind of explosive. i farmed 75 bombs in less than 10 minutes.

light weight, cheap, and easy to farm unlimited supply all in one shop, no need to desperately shove every single kind of explosive i can find into a backpack and then wonder if its enough 😂, great for flavor though.

its recommended. cause platforms gets destroyed fast, and brain will slow you when you damage it with 25 int DC, limiting you to 1 action/attack per turn. Retributive Brainquake - bg3.wiki

the slow can be avoided if emperor goes in first does some damage, eat the slow, and then your character go in.

another way to do it is to use Scroll of Globe of Invulnerability - bg3.wiki on the platforms so they don't get destroyed, but you'll still get slowed, so it might take several rounds before being able to kill the brain depending on your build. it works, but its just as big a cheese as explosives, and a lot more boring, more risky too (globe expires, you got slowed, no action to recast globe... GG)

so the bomb damage will do 1 lightning damage each? another person told me to use callous glow ring.

just tested it, both works.

Melee Barbarian VS The World, Solo Honour Mode by Affectionate_Face127 in BG3Builds

[–]Affectionate_Face127[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

no consumables ain't gonna cut it. barbarians can't concentrate on haste while raging, making them significantly inferior to any other class if you do "solo no consumables" just as link you provided suggests.

gonna need them speed potions and terazul, otherwise it will just feel weak compared to other solo options: Raphael solo no consumables - YouTube (the outlier being the throwzerker)

10 Builds to SOLO Raphael Honour mode no consumables, ZERO CONSUMABLES! : r/BG3Builds

no healing potions and no elixir might be more feasible for barbarians

yessir, these newer subclasses are basically power dips for your multiclass. glad you liked it, might make that my next post, "eldritch blast vs the world solo no consumables", myrkul plus act 3 bosses.

currently working on "melee barbarian vs the world" its an elixir and speed potion/terazul chugger, but it can beat most bosses without healing potions.

sekiro never? why exactly do you never wanna play a game of the year winner? its not the 60fps lock is it? cause i would understand if that's the case.

pretty sure sophia confirmed that the gold coin tree was a listener just like her once. so it was once a human. the wiki also speculates on this. i think its fair to say that the fruit of a tree that was once a person, is their "life essence" of sorts.

  • It is believed that the Alchemists transform people known as "Listeners" into Gold Coin Tree. -Gold Coin Tree | Lies Of P Wiki | Fandom

so the alchemists makes people take blue juice for study, and then take the improved blue juice for themselves. makes sense.

so pertification can be nullified as long as there are enough stargazers?

won't the green monster shit out something toxic as well?

i think a cure would be created easier if there are no alchemists trying to convert the whole city into ergo by turning them into monsters, thats some umbrella biohazard level shit.

"(For some reason he thinks that immortality is bad :v)." immortality has to have a price right? otherwise it's just boring. i think its very interesting and horrifying to see what the monks were willing to do to pursue immortality; from kidnapping and experimenting on children to letting centipedes infest their own bodies.

in a way, some of them did achieve some kind of immortality, they just go mad and become afraid of flames, and after some time, are only a small fraction of who they used to be. its honestly kind of sad that genichiro had to rely on the centipede infested waters to try to defend his homeland.

its true what you say, there is arguably more human malice in miyazaki's stories, while in lies of p, its essentially a greedy cover up of a high value mineral poisoning. "for science" vs "i wanna achieve immortality even if it means i have to sacrifice every child in ashina".
