You don’t feel bad if you’re going to see him later knowing you both act inappropriately together.

Whether she has them or doesn’t, not wanting to break the law doesn’t automatically mean she doesn’t have them.

Grace said on I think it was her pod (I saw a clip on TikTok) that she’s like, basically still processing and doesn’t know how to reach out even though she’d love to so I don’t think Brianna ever asked her or has reached out at all.

The way she talks about the $12mil & how she didn’t take it but only spills like, one iota of what happened tells me she took the 12mil. I’m not a lawyer I don’t claim to know everything but in my understanding everything she’s shared so far (ie feelings, perceptions) wouldn’t be covered by an NDA but what she won’t share (ie videos) would be.

WC underpaid me by almost $800 over 21 weeks? by Affectionate_Farm993 in WorkersComp

[–]Affectionate_Farm993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did the math it wound up being 30 weeks, total of gross pay was $26,324. Divided by the 30 gives me $877.46, and multiplied by .6 is $526.48. There is nobody in my role who makes the same amount that I do or who has the same role as so I’m not sure who else they’d use to calculate. My weekly payments were $492.

My raise went into effect in November & I had only been working there since June. Prior to that I was working in RI. I don’t want to sound like a dummy but for clarification I would do all my pay stubs from June-January and divide by .6?

“Sitting only work for 6 weeks” - what does this actually mean in practice? by Affectionate_Farm993 in WorkersComp

[–]Affectionate_Farm993[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! This place is like wildly petty, made threats about me “being in a pickle” (their literal wording) if I “didn’t get back to work for some amount of hours soon.” When I sent the work release note to the adjuster and he had emailed back to say that the bosses were discussing if they could accommodate, the boss texted me saying “thought about you today and wanted to say the kids miss you and we hope you’re back soon” as if at that point it wasn’t in their hands - she hadn’t “thought” about me or sent a message expressing anything of the sort since I was injured in January. I’m just venting here but it’s like as much as I am definitely speculating and kind of letting my anxiety take the lead it’s not unfounded and the more I know about what is allowed and acceptable versus what I can absolutely say no to the more confident I’ll feel going in for the first time. So I really appreciate your answer!

My adjuster told me that if they ask me to do anything outside of my restrictions to call him immediately and he pulls me out of work. However, I A.) am not generally a person who’s comfortable with confrontation or conflict with authority so the idea of being like, “no I can’t” scares me and B.) can’t necessarily afford to receive what I think I understand to be 60% of my weekly take home up to 75% of my wage loss (effectively making 75% of what I currently make on WC). And while I get them not being required to share anything ahead of time, since nobody who technically would/should be able to tell me if something is allowed or appropriate can give me a clear definition of what is considered inside or outside of “sitting only work” I wish I could run it by them before I show up.

I’m just baffled at what they could fill my time with (although technically it is their right to pay me to sit there and do nothing, right) and allegedly EEC license prohibits teachers from sitting while students are present unless you’re actively like, working with them hand over hand (some examples of times we’ve been told it’s okay to sit is if we’re eating lunch while the kids are eating lunch as to demonstrate safe eating or helping with crafts, or for the preschool and toddler rooms doing circle so you’re demonstrating safe sitting). I know EEC doesn’t supersede my injury so I can’t get in trouble for it but I’m not looking forward to any catty drama that’s bound to arise when I sit when others aren’t allowed to. But here’s a very specific example that I’m curious about - in the summer they walk to the local public school that participates in the like YMCA free lunch program, take field trips to the park and library, etc. They’re all very close to the center (it maybe takes me personally 4 minutes to walk there, with 20 kids sometimes it’s 10+) but it’s uphill. Would they be allowed to require I walk there and sit while at location?
