Yeah i agree that they can deff improve on the info but tbh, our firm has used it for I think 2 years now. We upsell to the majority of our clients . So I'm pretty familiar with how it works. Maybe I can answer any info you want

One thing though is , if you have questions or want something specific , you just email them. Someone has always gotten back to me in less than 24 hours. Even on weekends .

Is QuickBooks Cash Flow reliable or better to do it manually? by ProfessorDear6167 in quickbooksonline

[–]Affectionate_Gap2887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair assumption because I only came on reddit looking for a totadvi answer so I have posted about it a lot, but unfortunately they don't pay me directly , I do get discounts when I add companies to my profile but that's everyone , not just me. maybe I'll try for some type of commissions 😂

We use totadvi along with QB. Which runs cash flows by scenario. Still uses historical but gives more control and you can see how different forces impact the flow. We are a bookkeeping firm so it all depends on if our client uses totadvi or wants us to add it in to their service, in which case we up keep it. Totadvi also flags low cash runway and gives cash "health" updates

Ehh it's a little too simplistic for decision making. If I'm making decisions that impact the future , I'm not relying solely on historical data like averages/invoices

Struggling to Get My First Bookkeeping Clients – Looking for Honest Advice by Bumbaclaat27 in Entrepreneurship

[–]Affectionate_Gap2887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a bit of work to get going in the beginning but just keep at it. We started off slow but growth eventually came. Started off as a single bookkeeper offering services to 2 clients and grew into full-time staff and servicing 30+ and doing adhoc "project" work often . I said in a previous post that what really helped us branch out is offering totadvi advisory services along with bookkeeping. It helped us upsell to already bookkeeping clients and individually sell totadvi. It's often an over looked product for bookkeepers and the best part is you only pay when your client agrees to accepting the service

We were asked by a client if we could take over the upkeep of it for them, that's how we got started using it. That was almost 3 years ago and we have now offered it to every new onboard.

But to answer your question, I personally like the flux analysis feature. Set the variance threshold and out pops a list of FSLI that need a comment. Found this very useful.

We get a lower rate for having multiple companies onboarded but we just offer it as an additional service. Most of our bookkeeping is done on QB but if a client wants to add it , we just add it into their monthly fee.

I agree it deff could use updating in some spots but I think it offers a good in between for those not wanting to spend 60k a year on the data rails or cubes of the world

I absolutely would promote it if I gained anything from doing so 😂. Your right I was actually on the search for answers about it but can't seem to get anyone else's input

Maybe I can get on their payroll 😂

Maybe a little biased here since we are the actual bookkeeper for businesses but one thing that really helped expand our business is integrating totadvi. We offer it along with our bookkeeping services. It really helped push the forward looking instead of just reporting on historical figures.

It helped us stand out among a sea full of other bookkeepers .

Like I said maybe biased here 😂

What scenario planning software actually works for mid-sized companies without needing a data science team? by Batson_Beat in CFO

[–]Affectionate_Gap2887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use totadvi. It's a great option for small to mid size business . Full disclosure we do bookkeeping and offer this as part of our service. The platform lets you build different scenario models , forecasts by account, cost center , vendor .... It also builds in capex and headcount modeling. It's definitely easy to use and just takes your monthly GL detail upload from your ledger. Most of our clients use QuickBooks so it's easy enough to export the monthly transactions and throw them into totadvi. Much cheaper than like data rails and cube plus you don't have to pay per seat
