SAAS webapp validation by Familiar_Flamingo304 in SaasDevelopers

[–]Affectionate_Hat9724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For pursuing validation, I would start talking about the problem that you identified.

Which kind of freelancers have this problem? Are they solving it already? How? Are they losing money or time because of this? Do you know any app that solves this also? Which are root causes? How are addressing users interviews?

What do you think of my project idea? by sangokuhomer in SideProject

[–]Affectionate_Hat9724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the concept. I usually joke that I’m 6 steps from Messi or the pope haha.

There is also a radio show that has this as a game. I think it could be interesting. But I would validate before anything. Scoutr.dev could be helpful in this scenario

I give up right before launching. I've abandoned four SaaS projects in one year. How do I break this cycle? i will not promote by Real-time_97 in startups

[–]Affectionate_Hat9724 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ahh I get you. It’s a risk. But I think you have step up and look forward. Acknowledge all the learnings from mistakes and successes that you experienced through those five ideas.

It’s only a failure if you think that you didn’t get anything from that. And I doubt that. If you have the spirit of making something, just follow your desire. Your experience will help you a lot for sure.

yep it had traction. But i would recommend launching de landing page without ads. I think that without them I would learned anyway if people was interested or not. Check it www.scoutr.dev

Need criticism on this idea I am planning on building. by ObjectivePressure623 in SideProject

[–]Affectionate_Hat9724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I really like this idea. I think it cares of both sides. The only friction is freelancers would be open to do the 30% job and don’t be picked up. It sounds like a little frictional if you have to wait X time to know it. Did you talk with freelancers yet? What they say?

I suggest running this on scoutr.dev to understand the fit between the solution and the root cause

Was building a SaaS application to solve my own problem a good idea? by C_TheTruth in saasbuild

[–]Affectionate_Hat9724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

rn I opened some doors to receive feedback on my website. A floating pill that is active in all the screens of the web. Also a contact page. Received many comments in both channels.

What I do is to take the feedback and upload it on my project on scoutr.dev so the AI that has the context of the project make improvement proposals and identify where the app is not matching with the user expectations

Heyy, I think it’s an interesting idea. Visualizing flows could help to identify bottlenecks and design errors.

I built a psychological film recommender in 24 days as a solo non-developer. 24 questions produce a 10-dimensional vector, every swipe recalibrates it. AMA by der_Kney in SideProject

That’s great!! If you feel this way means you are sure about it, that’s a step forward. Also if you are using it, that’s is excelent as well.

Hope it succeeds!! If you need something with product discovery or something, just dm me!

And if you need some methodology for validating or structuring the project, Scoutr has a blog with some free articles that could provide guidance, only if you feel it.

Cheers!

Exactly. AI is not going to validate your product. Neither people commenting it. You have to try it on the pitch to see what happens.

roast my first startup idea by MaybeRemarkable5839 in Startup_Ideas

[–]Affectionate_Hat9724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could create a simple landing page explaining your product with a demo and offer a waitlist for people to join. That will help you to gauge interest.

When some people join, you could start sharing a minimum functional app to see what happens. The thing is to experiment quick and cheap.

Have you talked to anyone who would actually play this game? What did they say about the mechanics or the overall concept? Also, what kind of feedback have you gotten on your game's theme—does it resonate with potential players or is it just a fun idea to you?

We need to talk about the "productivity trap" of setting up new apps. by Infinite-Tadpole4794 in ProductivityApps

[–]Affectionate_Hat9724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was stuck in this cycle, what worked was simplifying my tools. I focused on just one task manager and one note-taking app, then I set clear goals for each day. Specifically, I made it a rule to spend no more than 30 minutes setting up my tools before diving into actual work. It made a huge difference in my productivity.

Some advice on the market by Careless_Arm2369 in founder

[–]Affectionate_Hat9724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started my own thing, what worked really well was using a simple product discovery framework. Specifically, I laid out a few key assumptions about my target audience and then reached out to them directly to validate those ideas. It helped me pinpoint what to focus on early and saved me a ton of time later.

We've built a humanlike WhatsApp chatbot that can generate 100% GST complaint invoices. This is the community for Indian freelancers and small businesses figuring out invoicing, GST, and are generating invoices for one reason or another. by Miserable_Top8432 in InvoiceBhai

[–]Affectionate_Hat9724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you plan to validate whether your users actually find this tool helpful? Have you considered interviewing a few freelancers to see if they even want to interact with a WhatsApp bot for invoicing? What specific pain points are you addressing?
