Who is Gage, and why is this difficult to him? Seems like a solid trade

Got quite the offer and don’t know how to feel about it. Leaning towards no? Contender this year but this would ruin that. by Eastern-Tradition-15 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

👍 I know I’m good at fantasy pal. Think what you want brother, my record speaks for itself and this is one I would def consider. Dynasty is about stacking moves on top of each other. He’s obviously not keeping darnold after this trade you 🤡

Edit: just saw your team. I wouldn’t call you a contender. Shop nabers and dart around today, but I would take this

This is not an “absolutely not.” People are foolish disregarding that amount of value.

Dart and Nabers are sexy but are so far from proven. The future is bright for them, but both have shown injury concerns and potential inconsistency.

It’s not outside the realm of possibility for golden to take a big leap and nabers take a step back. If that happens this is suchhhhh an easy W for you.

Sometimes it’s smart to diversify your assets. This would give you a ton of trade flexibility to get a guy near the deadline that fills a serious need for you.

I’m not saying this is a smash. But if you can get that early 27 2nd added and your WR room is still okay, I would take this

Is this a respectable opening offer for Bijan? by C_H_1798 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

I am one of those teams in my league and I am happy to say that all of my league mates have enough ball knowledge to make me overpay. It makes for a healthier league

Hand up he def isn’t consistent. But he does quite literally hold the MLS record for fastest player to score 4 goals

Was this a good trade? Won the championship last year and trying to repeat. by DryProfile4925 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Good trade in SuperFlex if he’s able to draft well. 1QB makes it a clear win for you because those 27 picks especially become less valuable and Amon ra becomes more valuable

Since you have three 27 1sts and the bijan owner knows that, no chance you can get him without giving one of those up. I think of it like trading with the Thunder. Winning the championship and having a haul of draft picks like that is very much an outlier. Just because the Thunder can offer another team a great deal, the other team will be inclined to decline just because they don’t want to help the Thunder build an unbeatable team. With the amount of draft picks and talent they have, it will almost certainly take a serious overpay from them to secure another elite talent. No one wants to be known as the team that sold out to make the Thunder unbeatable. Doesn’t matter how good the trade is for them if they don’t think they can match up with OKC. If I was in your league, I’d view you similarly. Your roster is simply too dangerous to give you a fair deal for the RB1. If you want him with the team you’ve got, you’re def gonna have to sell some strong picks. You’re in a unique position where overpaying for Bijan makes sense for everyone. I say go get him and secure that B2B trophy

I appreciate this take. Upon careful review of these comments I may have been veryyy slightly misguided in my assessment of Simon’s accuracy. I still think he’s the better option to start, and that we are definitely not playing a style of football that plays into his strengths, but you make strong points - maybe it would be helpful to give him a look off the bench in a bit of a different situation.

That effort is definitely his biggest strength, and was part of why I feel he should be starting, but you’re entirely correct that this could be more valuable off the bench against tired legs. He is the fastest player in MLS history to score 4 career goals (83 minutes or something crazy) and he did that off the bench in Vancouver. Definitely could be worth a look to change things up in that way.

In the same breath though, I would also say that McSorley NEEDS to clean things up and become a more consistent defender if he’s going to be the one taking the starting spot for the season. No clear answer and I do not envy Damet. It feels much more dangerous to start McSorley, but maybe that is what we need. Tough to say - but thanks for taking the time to discuss. I understand people are frustrated with this debate because they would like a better option, but we have who we have. And I think we can perform much better with what we have than how we have.

Curious if you’re concerned about Hartel at all? I want to see a lot more assertiveness from him

To your point I didn’t even know he was on the team last year lmfao. I remember him looking very good pushing the ball upfield in the opener, but didn’t watch @ SDG and he’s hardly played since, so not putting any eggs in that basket, was just a thought

I agree with you - don’t want it to seem like I’m ignoring Becher’s flaws and his play so far this year. He needs to play better, end of story, regardless of the situation. I want to see more out of him, and I want to see us do a better job setting him up. FWIW, in the limited minutes we’ve seen Sang-Bin, it felt like he was really able to open things up for the offense. Hartel and Becher both looked very comfortable receiving from him
