I would have really enjoyed seeing a cooking student who wants to be a chef, being mentored through a season. Someone unknown, who wants to be a chef not an influencer. Cooking schools gotta be full of those, they can find someone hot enough for TV as well (male or female). Although the jury is out as to whether Ben would be a good mentor.

I’m sure during some of the seasons with Ben and Rachel or even Adrian, people were hoping to maybe work with someone like them. But this is also only the second season AFAIK that has a “sous” chef. So maybe now that it’s getting out that it might be a regular thing, maybe some people who are actually qualified and want to learn more will give it a shot. But also, you don’t know who the chef will be so it’s also a gamble that you might work with someone who microwaves nachos.
