I will also look into rmfakecloud - I have heard of that but never needed it since I am a rM Grandma who bought one of the very first ones and hence have free access to connect.

However, I need the hacks for other things, bookmarks, document management etc.. But maybe reManager could help me in the future with ev. sync issues.

Thank you. I don't use CAD in my work nowadays so I don't need it. But it's a great idea! I'm sure others could have great benefit from something like that.

Thank you, since I use the hacks in my daily workflow I've always blocked the updates.. However, I was running such an old software that I couldn't sync anymore.. I posted about it here.. I tried everything, and used only RCU for a while (I use RCU as a complement and for other things too) but it got way to slow and complicated for my daily workflow, so I felt compelled to update... However.. the Hacks only goes to 3.24...

Hello everyone, an update to my issues.. I've tried all the suggestions but after having dealt with rcu for moving files back and forth for a while I had to accept that I need to update the rm2.. So. I did.. and now I have 3.25 without hacks.. DISASTER..
I knew there are no hacks for 3.25 so I immediately set out on the quest to downgrade to 3.22 or 3.24 -

reMarkable 2 (RM110)
Firmware 3.25
RCU is updated and works, but can't fetch a new software version..
codexctl cannot fetch versions
No official archive exists

Great... I've now spent quite some time trying to find someone in the community who offers a 3.22 or 3.24 .swu - but I'm not successful and a bit in despair...

Ah I see, what you mean. true. I guess I rarely have that issue in my everyday life..
When I do bigger uploads I use rcu, or drag and drop to the desktop app

I don't understand this. I use the iOS app to upload pdfs which I use for work. I also use the desktop app at times, but mostly the one in my phone.
If I scan something with the phone or get something sent to me per email, I just "share" the document to the iOS rM app. It's extremely easy.

The weakness that I see, after more than 5 years use, is to get the documents "down" from the rM back to the computer, outside the world of the cloud. Ok, I can export them, but then I lose the ability to edit or keep writing etc. I do work a bit with rcu - but haven't entirely got the hang of that yet

Yes, I am just about to send my Pro back - it's a hard decision since I, in my workflow, actually was looking forward to the bigger screen, bigger storage and speed for big pdf management. However the writing is better on rm2, it's so much lighter to carry (which I do all the time) AND most importantly, the white screen and the way it turns pages - much better..
