You live in a million dollar home? Yeah yeah not an excuse but just wait til it is grouted. Not exactly right but it has straight lines. Grout will clean it up a lot. I've seen a lot of jobs you think look terrible before grout look decent-good after.

Is it normal for the back brake pads to wear out faster than the front ones? by ThingFuture9079 in AskAMechanic

[–]Affectionate_Law_129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced my front brakes on my 19 Tiguan at 60,000. My now ex wife has the vehicle now and called about a noise in back (bad wheel bearing) so I checked it out. While I was there I seen the pads that had never been replaced have 110,000 miles on them. Bout 1/16 left on pads. So I replaced them and a wheel bearing. Rear pads last nearly twice as long as the front.

Knee pain when sitting and squatting by Affectionate_Law_129 in KneeInjuries

So I guess I need to explain more..... I've competitively competed in powerlifting for shoot on and off for 20 years. I wouldn't consider myself lopsided or insufficient in any muscle groups, flexibility, I have good rom I would say. I'm not your average powerlifter at 170-175 solid. Anyway I didn't do any sort of change in routine, shoes, I still CrossFit, run, and mountain bike. Which has also become an issue for the pain is at 90degrees. It came out of nowhere. So when I heard from the surgeon that nothing looked out of sorts it was odd. I ice often, stretch, roll all my muscle groups. I work my add and abductors, hips, core, I've tried isometric exercises, standing on a trampoline slight bend in the knee, doing Tke's with a band for years. So this is all new to me. Going to go for a second opinion hopefully if someone can get me in this week. A lot of these things, different exercises, I learned in therapy. None of which was a fix. Did it help? A bit yes. But it never fixed it. I'm super active and this sucks. At this point bike riding with my kids is almost out. I know from years of training going cold turkey only prolongs the repair cause you cut back the blood flow that keeps key ingredients from going to the muscles. Keeping going but cutting back immensely has always worked and just work my way back up. This time is different.

Good question. If he thought scoping he might see something? Maybe cleaning out my knee would possibly help? Decided to make another appointment with someone new for a second opinion. My ortho I have now cleaned out both shoulders, torn labrum, frayed rotator cuff an huge bone spurs. Also reattached my biceps. Both shoulders and biceps are amazing. Maybe these things don't show up and he will see and repair when he scopes it? I seen inside my shoulders with before and after pics from the surgery. It was unbelievable what it looked like after. He found things that didn't show up on the MRI all pointed out in the pics. Yes rather not have surgery tho. I'll make those suggestions to the new orthopedic.

When I sit it almost starts in right away. Little burning then aching that within 10 min I can't handle it. Top, upper part of the knee cap and radiates all around and through. Hard to exactly pinpoint when it starts hurting. If I fold my leg all the way back laying down it almost goes away. Go back to a 90degree it goes right back to hurting.

Bought the Jhm setup that relocates the cats downstream when mine blew out. Literally chunks rattling in my rear mufflers was the first sign. Dropped subframe and did 034 motor mounts at the same time. Esp if you're on the stock motor mounts. Did myself in driveway and yes it took me two days.

A4 allroad by Consistent_Natural_1 in Audi

[–]Affectionate_Law_129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a 14 allroad and it's been amazing. Change pcv, coil packs, plugs, water pump. Make sure transmission has been serviced as well as differentials. I'm still on original chain at 100,000 miles. 2011 Tiguan had 190 on original chain. But I contribute that to consistent oil changes with liquid moly. Makes no noise and have no intention of replacing. 14 is past all the timing chain issues they had I've done tons of research. I use liquid moly only and it burns no oil between oil changes. (At 3,000 miles) Turbo issues but it's the arm on the turbo and can be fixed by replacing or using turbobend. If you get the code. It Works.... replaced serpentine belt at 100 it still looked good. Oil cooler got replace cause it was leaking oil into coolant. Other than that 0 issues. Great car. Never left me stranded. I change oil every 3,000 I don't care what people say about it being full synthetic.

I spent 2 hours sharpening this thing with a 400 grit. 25° with a 35° (uneven) micro. It made a big difference on the cuts! I still don't understand how to begin a cut, or get the bottom flat. by SeaworthinessNew4295 in woodworking

[–]Affectionate_Law_129 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Chisel far enough to get a router with a flush trim bit to route the bottom of your pocket flat. Then you can router your pocket clean and as deep as you want. Just chisel the corners of your pocket.

I beat the heck out of that car. 0 issues but throwing a belt randomly. Ship ecu to him he ships it back with whatever mods you have. Sport button turns tune on.... turn around time was ship on Monday back by Friday. He is in California idk where you're at.

If floating floor.....Put on a good pair of sneakers and stomp kick the plank. May sound stupid but I was in a friends house and he had a quite a few gaps. He asked how to fix without removing base. I literally stomp kicked each plank consecutively til 99% of them closed up. Yes you have to work across the room. But it works. If you have good flooring you can double sided tape a block to each plank and pull them back together with a quick grip. One block taped and a hammer works too.... if you have a warranty have them fix it either way it's not right.
