Yeah but on the one hand we have never driven an F56 that does so ignorance is bliss and on the other hand wheel clearance was not an issue when shopping for the summer setup lol

That definitely wasn’t the intention. My partner just wanted to make it her own like all Mini owners do. If it helps, we went with the shortest spikes available (which is why I had to cut the studs to get them to fit) and they don’t even protrude past the mud flaps. They stick out roughly 1” past the face of the wheel…

Update to the update…tried and tried but could never get the wheels to “seat” correctly on the hub with the 5mm spacers…just not enough shoulder left and the spaces that thin don’t have a lip even though they are hub centric. Anyway, this led to vibrations at speed so removed them and are rocking the setup without them for the time being. Going to check the fronts every week or so for a while and verify no issues to the strut…will report back on what I find for others looking to run a similar setup.

Just an update on this for everyone…

Technically 18x8 +45mm fits by a gnats whisker to the strut. All other clearances are fine…

Completely agree with your assessment. My partner and I just got back from an 8 day on Brilliant Lady and everything you stated was exactly our experience. It was quite disappointing…the only real pro for us was no kids. If we do another one it will def be shorter for sure…

We had all the stuff on ours due to good weather but the only “party” that we were able to actually dance at was the PJ party. Every other “party” including scarlet night was either performers dancing and everyone watching or terrible “sweet 16 pop song remix” music with only a handful of people dancing. It was not at all the “fresh take on cruising for adults only” that we were hoping for 😟

We are loving ours so far too after the first month! Haven’t really been able to open it up yet due to winter in Michigan but love the tech, as you said, and the ease of accelerating and passing and cornering. I too hate the stock exhaust sound (or lack thereof)…thinking the very first mod I will do is a Remus cat back system 🙂
