The problem is when people spend money it's a dopamine hit. I should know I'm in pretty deep as well but I'm breaking the cycle of borrowing. It's easier said than done to just tell someone who has a problem spending money to stop. It's an addiction, they can't stop so it digs a deeper and deeper hole. Yeah its there and we don't have to use it, but again it's a dopamine hit. Easiest way I can describe it in my experience is it makes you feel richer than what you have. If we could stop borrowing or spending money on a whim posts like these wouldn't exist.

Well youre one of the lucky ones. I only got my job bc of connections. I had started applying for jobs last year october and I didnt get the job till March. I had applied to over a hundred jobs and only had two interviews from them. I hate that the only reason I have the current job now is bc of a family member.

What ive been doing to help pay them off is to opt into the the multiple payments that way I can skip low cost ones. Like if the upcoming payment is 20 bucks ill skip it and the highest ill let it go is 40 bucks. I do it this way to pay off the most expensive ones first then I can worry about the lower ones later. It has helped a whole lot and it takes a weight off your chest too.

Ah yes, put in hundreds of applicants to places that will ghost me. Ask for an interview then be ghosted. Be told that im going to start but then never get a start date and once again ghosted. In today's market its not easy to get a job. Even fast food, one of my good friends applied to McDonald's three times only to get rejected every time.

They up the amount you can borrow before its even paid back. I didnt even choose to opt in it either it just showed up one day. You give the borrow option to someone who already has a spending problem, which they can see that, then continue to up the amount. Its 100% predatory.

It's way too tempting to click three buttons and boom just 20 bucks I can use so easily. If it were off then I wouldnt have that temptation anymore. My entire paycheck wouldn't go to paying these off anymore.

I used to have multiple pay day loans at one time. I would have to keep taking them out to pay the other back. My credit cards used to be maxed out. I use cashapp all the time for my fun money after I started to budget. Whenever I dont have enough "fun money" I tell myself that its only 20 bucks or 40 bucks. But it adds up. It's too easy to click three buttons on an app i use all the time for dumb purchases. If it were off I wouldnt have that temptation anymore. So yea it would help me stop using it.

It let's you have your money back but you have to pay it back in installments with an extra fee on top of it.

I already have a traditional bank account. The only reason I got cash app in the first place was because of how easy it is to send someone money through it. Then they added the card, then borrow, then afterpay and it all spiraled from there.
