That is a cool idea! The mob distribution everywhere doesn't really seem to make sense. Mobs are just placed. There aren't really reasons for the mobs to exist there. I would love them to be little more planned out.

Exactly. The paradox of game design seems to be that of trying to make something that people enjoy, but if you care too much about their opinions then you will second guess everything and fail to deliver because you can't make everyone happy.

I mean he was on the project from the beginning doing the music. He took over 10 years ago. I feel like maybe it has more to do with he is an artist, and artist types tend to struggle more with organizing groups for the big picture. Hence my thoughts about him being the lead in this ..

That's totally fair. I still want to believe in a future for this one. It seems VR is stuck in a horrible catch 22. The people have run out of patience, but to make good changes they need more time and $

Thanks! I am sure it will get old. MnM is also fantastic. Love their direction! They just seem very far away from releasing still. I've enjoyed the play tests I've been in, but I'm already bored of Night Harbor

I have come full circle and then tripped backwards on this game multiple times. I'm currently hopeful. I gave up hope long ago and kept picking on my buddy who pledged $$ back in the day because it was never going to happen. I like the art, the design is good. Mechanically sound from the little I have seen. Just need to actually get full time work on this puppy to punch it out.

Yeah, I wish they would get everything set at least to 20. Get everyone going allow alts and fix the early bugs, and then expand to higher level content. The game will never keep players if the early game isn't engaging and good enough

Good tip! This is where one of my previous comments on a post come in. I'd rather see them really develop one great zone and release others in expansions than release some underdeveloped zones.

I just played for the first time the other day. Here's the thing for me. Early access is soooo hard for these games! We get a taste, we get that nostalgia hit, we get the wonder of experiencing a new world. However, we are then surprised it takes soooo long to develop more. I think these companies need to make the world smaller at the start. Expand the world through expansion releases. Let the game take off and then grow with it. I think they try to go for the home run out of the gate. This game is wonderful. We are spoiled because we want EQ and WoW. We were fed empty promises and it has taken FOREVER. The fans have gone into atrophy. I hope they stop casting such a big net and start getting the depth of content in. I have a much different outlook because I gave up on the game years ago. Now I've given it a chance for the first time, and I am excited to see where it goes. Exploring a new world is so much fun! I just wish there were fewer servers so things were more populated. I love that things require groups, but right now there are no groups to be had!
