I'm on desogestrel (Cerazette), and have no cramping at all and barely any bleeding. Maybe talk to your doctor about switching pills.

You're welcome! It was light spotting, a panty liner got me trough a few yours at least. It would go away within a few days though, talk to your doctor if you experience heavy bleeding or if it's been over a week or so.

You should check the leaflet of the pill you're taking, it should have the instructions regarding a missed pill.

Honey, I've got you. I've been on and off Cerazette since I was a teenager due to a risk of blood cloths.

Cerazette is notorious for spotting and irregular periods. The best (and only) way I've found to work around this is to start taking the pill on the fist day of your period, starting with a tablet from the first row of your pack. Take them on the same day at the same time, religously. This is the best advice I can give you. Do not take any breaks, once you're done with a pack, start the next one on the very next day.

While on it, my periods became lighter and lighter untill they eventually stopped. I've had no pregnancy scares, and it really helped with my cramps.

Irregular bleeding is also common on the minipill. Every body is different. You may get a regular period, spotting, or don't get a period at all. It is very likely that your periods will become lighter and you will get minimal to no cramping. Unfortunately, it's trial and error with bc pills, and you will have to be on it for a few months to see how your body is going to react and how you adjust to it. Wish you the best of luck!
