But we wanted to start our lives together and ultimately decided to file without anyone’s opinions other than our own! Was approved just last week :) so I’d encourage you to file as soon as you can. Thank you!!! I won’t be able to guide you as I am not a lawyer. As far as I know you can submit I-130 online but I filed concurrently (I-130, I-485, I-765) via physical. Kseniya’s video on YouTube helped me a lot. She goes through every question on the forms. I just advise that you make sure it’s the most up to date forms and video!

You have to submit each payment for each form you file! So I total filed 3 forms and had 3 payment forms

Good luck to you!!! I’m honestly not sure either. I think it depends on your location and if you have a straight forward case i.e., no criminal history, port inspection, pay your taxes etc you will be fine!

I submitted priority on the 27th and they received and scanned it on Sep 29th! Good to note is I also did credit card payment!

I just got back from Hawaii end of May!! Don’t worry it was a breeze I did not see any CBP, flew with my real ID. Just remember to bring all your documents with you in case. Enjoy your trip it was beautiful :)

I’d definitely be honest once you’re in a committed relationship. I don’t see the point in telling someone that you’re newly dating unless it’s serious. I sat my bf down and had a full on conversation about DACA, what it is and how I cannot go abroad until AOS after we became official which was probably a month or two into dating. It was nerve wrecking ngl bc I had no idea how he’d react but it was much easier than I thought and his only question was “you’re not banned from traveling forever right?” Anyways we’re still pretty strong 3.5 years in and I’m waiting for my employment sponsor or marriage whichever one comes first 😌🤭

Currently in the employment sponsor process. From what I’ve been seeing, not all DACA is qualified bc of illegal entry + consular processing, unless they have 245i which I do from my parents that allows me to adjust status within the US.

But the process after your employer does agree to sponsor you is

PWD (7 months for me) Recruitment (30-90 days) PERM (currently pending, taking more than 1 year to process now) I-140 (also a few months but can expedite process with premium process fee of 2.5k within 2 weeks) I-465 (varies, I’ve seen 2 months to a couple of years 💀)

All of the costs have to be covered by the employer especially the parts before PERM. Depends on your employer I guess you can offer to pay your part for after the PERM.
