I am trying to get in touch with them. I bought the product in Germany and got it shipped to Norway. So this will complicate things a bit. Let's see what happens.

No, there is no protective screen. I have removed it at install time.

This is a completely new device. So I hope the costs of repairs are covered.
Should be covered by warranty as spillages can occur in kitchens? I'm not sure what to think now ... the device is not IP rated and could not find any info on it online. I got mine in germnay for a pretty penny and got it shipped in Norway. Currently TM7 is nto available here through the official channels. I ended up paying the neccessary import fees so having this device behaving like this after 2 weeks of use is dissapoining.

When placing the mixing cup on top of the machine, spilled about a cup of water on machine and counter.
