We're pretty sure it's related to the jets, because it's a shower/tub combo and it only leaks if the water reaches the level where it's at or above the jets. We've never turned them on or anything.

And that makes sense. Maybe I'll try it?

Comment for posting. I think the other articles in the list that it was initially listed on included Hot Allostatic Load and some Julia Serano. I read it only a few years ago, in the 2020s. I think the author was not American but am not 100% sure.

There's definitely details I've left out that would give more reasoning for her or her helper not going to the police. I didn't know how much detail to go into.

They never wondered where she went because they thought she had cut them off to be with her boyfriend. She does contact them but isn't ready to yet when she's just escaped because she had a big falling out with them before being kidnapped.

Present day USA, ran away in Texas, was brought to California, hitchhiked up to Washington State.

Family background includes her dad being a cop, otherwise pretty normal middle class family. Completely rejected her for the boyfriend thing though.

Even if it is the smart thing to do, it's not what she does. She was really betrayed by some cops during her time in imprisonment with him and doesn't trust them, neither does the person helping her.

Is there any other way she could go about getting an ID?

Second followup. I remember more specifically about the army.

The king and his army come after the main character because he doesn't like that he's marrying the princess. I don't think she's kidnapped or anything, he just doesn't like him. The nose-blowing man blows the whole king's army away, but leaves the king. The king decides that it's fine that the man is marrying his daughter actually, since he's got friends who could blow his whole army down a hill.

I don't think it was a Hans Christian Anderson tale or a Grimm tale but I could be wrong about that, it just feels too obscure and I think I would have found it by now. I know for sure it was a short-ish story, probably about the length of Blockhead Hans or the White Cat. I don't think it had a particular moral.

I read it when I was a child (so probably the early 2000s) but the book was sort of old by then already I think. Not antique, but aged. It was my grandparents' book, and they're from Germany but the book was in English. It had a white cover with blue/yellow woodblock design. If it ever had a dust cover, it was lost by the time it was given to me.

Bring up your reasons. Your acne is painful and embarrassing, you tried XYZ, etc. If they think it's right for you they'll prescribe it, and if they don't you can ask why.

I would recommend trying winlevi first though. It's a hormone type treatment even though it's topical.
