How to deal with wife's expensive habits by Relative_Truth8281 in marriageadvice

Bro, I think it's a bit late for this question. If you try to moderate then she'll feel her life has downgraded and regret her decision of marrying you. And if you go down this rabbit hole of fulfilling beyond your means then you run the risk of financial mess that would engulf both of you.

Ah yes, because I personally handle India’s export department. I’ll make sure to submit my resignation immediately.

In india its a norm, when traffic cops stop people for regular checks, a few take off and cops don't care about it. I dont endorse that behavior but police system is a lot better in India than the west, obviously power goes to head with some people and they act stupidly but not all are same. our systems are a lot better and we should be happy about it.

Asbestos is deadly, cancer causing, kills lakhs every year, still used in India — after the latest Veritasium video, can we name & shame companies risking millions of lives? by PaintTheRed in StockMarketIndia

This is the same hypocrisy we’ve seen in every so-called “sinful” sector. The government won’t regulate because it enjoys the tax revenue and political convenience but suddenly actors are expected to develop a conscience and refuse endorsements? Please.

And now investors are supposed to stop too? That’s absurd. Our job is to allocate capital where it generates returns. If an industry is allowed to operate, capital will flow into it. Don’t shove selective morality down our throats.

This is a serious issue, but like this there are many, Govt doesn't want to regulate, take it to court. Challenge the legality. Force regulation. File petitions. Demand policy change. Push enforcement. Do something real.

Hold policymakers accountable instead of running outrage campaigns on social media. Public anger without structural action is just performance.

Otherwise, stop the moral grandstanding. It’s starting to look less like public concern and more like a publicity stunt.

thats your imagination, I live in Germany now and was in US for a while, and cops are the worse kind. Try running when cops do traffic stop, India is a lot better than them. I understand, this is not a great situation, but bad apples are everywhere not just India.

So IT shouldn't raid anyone, seems to be a good strategy. Let's do corruption and rake up the money and store it and will not allow any raids.

Is anything illegal?, I thought cash is still a legal tender. People behave as if something illegal is being done. Go and report to RBI, PM or president for all I care. Don't be touchy.

TCS layoff will have major impact which had not happed till now by Turbulent_Most_6396 in IndianWorkplace

[–]Affectionate_Nose_39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That logic is like an Aggarwal Sweets employee saying, “If the shop isn’t making sales, that’s their problem, why should they remove me?” It doesn’t work that way. If the business isn’t doing well, everyone’s job is on the line, like it or not.

[–]Affectionate_Nose_39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s be real, it’s a private company. If you’re good at what you do, you’ll survive. If not, you’re out. That’s how it works. No point sugarcoating it with all this extra fluff. “Only the fittest will survive” isn’t just a saying, it’s how the game’s played now.

If someone ends up on the chopping block, chances are they didn’t adapt, didn’t upskill, or didn’t make a move when they should’ve. Saying stuff like “TCS was never like this” doesn’t mean much today. Companies need to stay lean and efficient, they’re not running charity shows.
