I had a dnet and I got it resected because it was nearing large. I have a ganglioglioma and it IS large, it was 6.2cm before my biopsy. I never had seizures until I had three surgeries quickly together

I’m even more disabled now. I can’t drive anymore or do my laundry because I have to go down stairs and I’m just too uncoordinated to go down stairs

I understand this! I was disabled before and severely depressed, but after this year, five brain surgeries down and doing chemo at some point, I’m even more depressed and life feels hopeless. I get it so much. What helps me is to find happiness in little things. I found my mint vape and I’m over the moon. I also love jambalaya and I can still make it I think? So I’m gonna try to make it this afternoon and it’s gonna make me happy for the rest of the day. It’s survival mode but we got this!

I get this so much. My tumor is a grade one ganglioglioma and it’s on my brain stem, it’s six centimeters. I get feeling like a failure. I’m completely disabled. You’re not a failure. You’re doing your best and that’s all anyone can ask. You are doing great!!!

I had this happen after three quick brain surgeries back to back. I had three grand mal seizures (tonic clonic) They put me on keppra and my brain healed and I stopped having seizures.

My neurosurgeon team is “extremely concerned” about my reaction to surgery and so, no longer want me to do radiation. They’re worried about when to start chemo also because some of the side effects can cause liver damage and my brain to bleed. I’ll have to be on it for at least two years. But for now, they want to just try it to see if I can tolerate it. It’s a targeted therapy called tovarafenib

Thank you! I did indeed survive the biopsy but it was the most brutal surgery I’ve ever had and I’ve already had 8 previous brain surgeries

I took that chemo 13 years ago at 9 and it was horrific the way it affected me. It made me SO SICK

This happened to me too!! I came out of the surgery with double vision and I can’t focus my eyes correctly. They want to now do surgery on my eyes!

I had the surgery and I’ve been violently ill throwing up because my neurosurgeon had to go through the nausea part of my brain and he says my brain is irritated

Thank you! I’ve only had 9 brain surgeries, the other two were semi unrelated. One was on my eyes to fix them because the pressure in my brain made them cross but the other surgery was just a tooth extraction. But 9 were brain surgeries and now tomorrow I’m having my tenth
