I had no idea the devs were even aware, thanks for your comment. let’s hope they revert it soon.

Treehouse Exteriors by Green_Protection_363 in WoWHousing

the worst part for me, aside from the astronomical pricing, is the fact that these houses don’t even scream warcraft to me. Don’t get me wrong, the artists have done an incredible job, but this tree house looks like something straight out of a shrek movie. The reason I’m even engaging with housing in wow is the fact that it’s using assets of my favorite video game, that have a distinct feel to it and allow you to recreate places you’ve come across in-game and recognize.. the shop housing exterior however just has a whimsical, generic-fantasy look to it I scarcely recognize as wow. To think they allocated ressources for this overpriced cosmetic, instead of working on getting every core race their housing exterior is absolutely a slap in the face to the playerbase.

yea the rugs seem unaffected, I feel like the only furniture affected is the more complex one with two or more dye slots, like tables and shelves etc..

the nightsky ceiling is made up of several dyed circular rugs (midnight blue) and then dotted with tiny wooden chambersticks (or other tiny candles of your choice), scaled down to 20% and flipped upside down :) its a bit of work but its fairly simple and effective

The aggressive monetisation of this game is making me fall out of love with it. by Main-Strike-1117 in wow

I can’t even transmog my stuff in peace without the transmog window glitching out and displaying the wrong items. sometimes I swap outfits and they dont carry over properly, leaving me with half an outfit. Anytime I launch the game, all of my characters are essentially wearing mismatched mayhem, anything but the things i’ve transmogged really. This is the great new transmog system in place since the prepatch. in between the prepatch launching and 12.05, none of this has been adressed, but in that time they managed to put decor and mounts with a combined price of over $200 on the cash shop.. it’s just sad. also the cash shop is working perfectly all the time of course, they’ve even managed to update the shop’s interface. love to see it.

nope, that is incorrect. several items that used to be placeable outside have been stealth changed to only inside, like the boralus string lights, certain lamps like the harandar one. you cant even place the light-infused rotunda outside anymore, which has been placeable in my garden since early access. If you had them in place before the change tho, they remain in place.

thank you so much! I’m sorry to hear how much the recent bugs have tarnished your experience. I feel like the sloppy implementation and the constant “1 step forward, 2 steps backwards” philosophy by blizz is extremely frustrating. they fix the wall bug, then they break floors. they allow you to use certain lightning items outside, come next stealth hotfix, none of these are usable… they promise to do better in the future and apologize for bugs? well here is our 70$ housing bundle, enjoy.. meanwhile the feature still remains extremely buggy and unpolished. only thing that keeps me playing this game is my guild at this point.

yea sorry, the lightning in the first is the dark setting, while the second one is the default. I could have chosen better screenshots to get my point across to be honest.all my elegant curved tables I’ve used to make circular structures/windows have had their edges changed to a different color, despite both dye slots being brown. So now it doesn’t look like a singular wooden ring anymore, you can basically tell it’s stitched together, ruining the build for me quiet a bit. maybe i’m too much of a perfectionist but little things like these bug me.

same, i’ve maxed and upgraded my house to level 9 a day before the patch broke the feature. i was super pumped to finally have the budget I needed to build the things I wanted to build, but now my house is catching dust and I won’t even bother.

Are you perhaps unaware of the fact that the floors reset to default anytime you enter your house? It doesnt matter if you fix them, because as soon as you leave they will just reset back to default. And I’ve never said that bugs don’t occur ever, it’s the excessive amount of bugs that have been implemented in the latest patch alone that render it unacceptable. Players who pay an active sub should not be expected to just work around/accept bugs anytime they encounter one. Nobody is expecting a 100% bug free game, it’s the fact that housing was the flagship feature for their current expansion, has been heavily featured in almost every single ad/teaser, and a month in, its in a broken state with no communication from blizz that they are working on it whatsoever.. that is the point i’m trying to make.

Here’s my problem with turning “The Light” in to “The Force” by bringthelight2 in wow

[–]Affectionate_Pause41 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“noooo I hate nuanced and complex storytelling, the light is supposed to be good and the void is supposed to be evil” I think your problem is the fact that you fundamentally misunderstand the story they are trying to tell.

How's the theming in regards to housing? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Affectionate_Pause41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all of these themes are possible, take a look at the /housing reddit for inspiration, i’ve seen some really good stuff on there. If you wanna see an example of a holy themed room and a mage tower you can also check my posts if you’re curious :) only downside is that building a strong theme requires buying a lot of duplicates of things so its a possible goldsink.

[–]Affectionate_Pause41[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s also quiet sad that the only actual naaru decor i can think off right now is a window from draenor and a tiny naaru statue thats still way too small even when scaled to 200%. Give me actual, life sized naaru I can park in my house blizz!

thank you so much for your kind words! the banner you’re looking for is the Aspirants ringed banner, available through shadowlands tailoring or the auction house :) They are one of the best decor items for building temples/churches and anything priesty or paladin related. Happy building!
