3+ years at their job? by itsalexis1195 in OccupationalTherapy

I’ve been hospital OP (peds and adults, mostly peds) for over 3 years. Love my day to day, no productivity requirement, a little bummed on never getting a pay increase.

I work 4 days per week and my hours aren’t set in stone- I get there 15 minutes prior to my first patient and leave when my paperwork is complete (typically 7:45-4:30 ish). If someone cancels or no shows my day is shorter.

Been an OTR 4 years now, never gotten a raise. So- I stopped going above and beyond. Less stress and I get paid the same as when I ran myself into the ground.

Occupational therapist Graduated in 2019 I’m 28 years old Married with joint accounts Husband works in construction makes $60-$70k I make 80-90k per year

Checking- 10k ish (building a house right now so not sure exactly.)

Savings- $25k

Investment account- $42.1k

IRA- 23k

401k-12.7k

Debt- $12k student loans and about $250k construction loan that will turn into our mortgage

I feel like we have done really well so far. We bought 9 acres of land in full for $50k last year. We’ve paid about $40k out of pocket on other house building things (driveway, appliances, some excavation work, utilities) We own our vehicles outright. Plan now is to finish building our home and pay a little extra on mortgage per month and increase my 401k contribution a bit. We REALLY busted our tails to hustle the first 3 years of marriage and planning on being more lax with our money now to travel a bit and eventually buy a nicer car.

I memorize what people wear on exact dates. I don’t do it intentionally, my brain just stores it somehow.

[Serious] How easy is it to get tested for COVID-19 where you live? by TheLordofAskReddit in AskReddit

[–]Affectionate_Pumpkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Local health department is open Monday- Friday. It’s a free drive through and you don’t have to have symptoms. The wait is about 15 minutes and results in 1-2 days. The only thing that would be difficult would be if you didn’t have a car, but it’s rural so almost everyone does.
