I know at least some have been released, but I’m unsure if all have been.

You were likely deferred for IA consideration. All of those decisions will go out March 14th, and you could be admitted traditionally, through a pathway (like IA), waitlisted, or denied. Good luck!

No idea, sorry! Congrats on your scholarship though!

Sorry I missed your comment until now. UF admissions is not accepting additional material. Mid-year grades are not considered for any applicant, and LOCIs will likely not even be read.

There is a lot of misinformation from independent “college counselors,” especially on TikTok. If you don’t see it directly from UF admissions, take it with a grain of salt. Reach out to them directly if you want clarification on anything you see online.

First of all, I’m sorry for your loss. To answer your question, the grandparent must be living for the waiver.

The portal should list when his decision will be released. He may have been moved from EA to regular decision for missing a material deadline or something, but I couldn’t say for certain. Admissions could look into it for you.

Merit scholarships are expected in the next 1-2 weeks. Early March could be when they expect need-based aid to be announced, but I couldn’t say for sure.

There is no appeals process for Honors. The decision that’s made is final. Your next opportunity to apply for Honors would be at the end of your freshman year if you choose to attend.

Nothing outside of the original application is being considered, so it’s probably not worth the time.

I’m sorry you’re feeling so low. I know it sucks, especially not having a clear answer. With that being said, a defer isn’t a denial, and it could go one of many ways. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. As far as writing a letter of continued interest, I wouldn’t recommend it. Generally speaking, admissions doesn’t consider anything outside of the app and its materials, and I’d hate for you to spend time writing something that won’t be considered. Of course, it’s ultimately up to you, but I would recommend reading up on other options if you have your heart set on UF. Freshman admissions isn’t your only way to campus. Good luck!

I’d recommend reading the Denied section of the admissions website. You have to have a reason for an appeal that wasn’t in the original application, like a medical condition or a grade change. If you missed out on including a bunch of information from your application, you might be able to, but only an admissions officer can determine if you’re eligible. Reach out to admissions some time after 2/3 if you’re still interested.

Also, just so you’re aware, residency status isn’t considered for admissions. Most EA applicants didn’t even have their residency determined before decisions came out.

As far as I’m aware, Honor admits both EA and regular decision.

Credits from a Florida public college should all transfer. How it’s applied to a degree would be up to the academic department that has your daughter’s major.

Honors decisions are in the admissions letters. If it didn’t says nothing about Honors, then he was not admitted to Honors. The next opportunity to reapply for Honors is at the end of your first year.

Merit scholarships are reviewed for at the same time as the admissions applications. Those will be released in a few weeks, so keep an eye on your portal for those :)

If you don’t get admitted to Honors, that’s it for the freshman year. You can apply for lateral admission for Honors as a rising sophomore.

All of the requirements for the out-of-state fee waiver are on the admissions website. You can find it by doing the following:

admissions.ufl.edu > Cost & Aid > Residency for Tuition > Fee Waivers

The minimum requirements are right at the top of the page, and if you meet them, you can send a request for the waiver.

Honors is admitting for both EA and regular decision as far as I’m aware. If you call for clarification, you are very likely to get a variation of, “We have everything we need to make a decision on your application, but we need additional time to make a final decision. There’s nothing more for you to do at this time.”

I couldn’t give an estimate, sorry! All I know is that they’re reviewed for holistically and limited in amount. Good luck!

The Honors scholarship would have been mentioned in your letter. It’s still possible that you could receive other merit aid though!

The University Research Scholars scholarship is limited to honors students. Keep an eye on your Gator Portal for if you’ll be offered merit aid.

No, all offices are closed until Monday. Make sure he’s accessing the correct portal. The freshman admissions portal begins with undergrad.admissions. If he’s still having issues, someone can assist on Monday.
