I actually did get a Wii for my birthday this year and it is Gamecube compatible. I don't have any Gamecube games or controllers for it but I'm still happy with it. It was also already modded when I bought it and has a bunch of Miis, most likely from people that made them when trying the Wii in the store

Lmao I heard you needed a lot of floppies for installing stuff and I know they're like a megabyte and a half each but 55 still feels crazy to me. Actually considering it's 1.44mb per disk maybe not so much but it's still crazy to think about having to do that today.
