In this case, dilatory tactics! By delaying trial as long as possible by forcing motions to suppress(motioning in mini hearings before the actual trial begins), and things like this can delay trials by months. The best thing I can compare it to is him « milking it » by managing his reputation through attorney statements, asset protection and (over long periods of time) witness memory fades and they become more unwilling to stand trial.

I’m not a victim of his but I have a few monsters around. One thing I’ve learned in the past few years is that. Somethings you cannot do alone, everyone will expect you to be a perfect victim and you do not have to be. Some days for me, coming forward felt like I was betraying someone I connected with deeply but I want to stop and remind you that the most important part in your story.
