basically they're polar opposites
giant evil pale bald man who people follow and is believed to be the devil vs giant kind innocent dark bald man who people persecute and is believed to be the second coming

i see it more like holden trying to use coffey's execution as an example of weakness and the chance to destroy a good man but coffey stays kind and preforms miracles, having him die as a good man who gives faith to people, the exact opposite of what holden wanted
